Ok maybe I saw it to scientific....yes, I did. I need to explain why: I originally pictured the relation between increasing inequality and violence and dcreasing trust as a positive (selfreinforcing) feedback loop in a complex system like in complex system theory (everyone is fleeing the discussion now bored and with justification). The fascinating thing about positive feedback loops to ME however is that they automatically and with great force destroy complex systems if left unchecked. However long before science investigated this phänonemum and gave it interesting scientific sounding names like "positive feedback loop" it was simply called "the devils spiral". As I see now - thanks to the clearl naming in lay language - see the true agent behind the increasing inequality in the USA (the devil) and the size of weapon choosen (positive feedback loop, thanks to my university for torturing me so long with the concept to understand it's full destructivness) I will ...äh...how to phrase it friendly ....evacuate the discussion with speed. To try to save my own country and so on. Do not think I am a coward, but when it comes to what I can achieve against the devil in sceems of that size I am pretty realist. Furthermore the devil uses any kind of vanity against you - including the vanity that you can stop him by for example smartness or whatever. I pray so for your country and the many good people in it.

This is not heaven; and we where told so. Their is fraud in every area of life, so we have to accept that fraud and the devil will be in this area of life too. But not working is not a natural thing for men, they get bored. Some of the softer measures for me would include that everyone who receives an unconditional income has to obligatorily and regularly participate in courses in ethics and frienldy behaviour. One main problem of modern scociety is not that we work to few but that we consume to much, and the people first need to learn humility again and how to handle money and in a carefull way. The second thing is that I would record in some public way who works how much. If I see how much effort and time people invest in getting some kind of gold medal in a computer game to show their effort and skill - why should that not work in the real world?

And Christ told us exactly how to handle it. You have touched on a subject that really bears repeating, that is the fact that consumerism is a BIG problem in today's society. It has always been so, but with modern technology and marketing we have taken excess to new heights. I have often quoted consumer spending numbers to illustrate that point and none does it so well as the $750B that is spent by Christian consumers on Christmas. That number doesn't include charitable giving, it's only retail sales. Is that how Christ would have us celebrate His birth, by spending $750B on gifts and decorations and the like for ourselves and our friends and family while many are starving around the world? Just in the period from what's known as Black Friday until Christmas it's estimated that as many as 700,000 will die from hunger around the world. There are approximately 1 Billion who are underfed. I wonder what us "rich" Capitalistic Christians will say when God points out that while these folks were dying we were spending our money on material things for ourselves and our friends to celebrate Christ's birth.

This is a country founded on Christian principles and a plan for the future that was handed to us by God through man.

This country after all these years is a beacon of hope to the whole world for a better life , whether those coming here understand God's role in establishing this country or not.

SOME WOULD CRITICIZE THAT PLAN AND HOW IT WAS IMPLEMENTED AS IMPERFECT OR FLAWED. The only flaw has been man and how those original plans have been modified over time, and through time implemented in a way our forefathers and God hadn't intended.

The United States of America became the "New Israel", chosen by God to represent Him to the rest of the world like He did Israel many ages ago, but Israel failed to represent God His way and so paid the price as a nation of people.

Even though people are still flocking here from all over the world to the greatest country in the world to find a meaningful life, because God made it so, over time, we are becoming a failure to God also as we eliminate God in more and more of our society, and more Christians abandon their faith and the churches more and more abandon Gods teaching, for a more worldly man centered teaching and belief like this one.

It's just a fact of life as I watch Christianity disentagrating and replaced by these kind of STRANGE NEW IDEA'S THAT creep in AND TRY TO HAVE A FACE OF TRUTH, BUT ARE wolves in sheep s clothing like this Nadjeschda WHO IS BOUND AND DETERMINED TO DRIVE HER IDEA'S TO ACCEPTANCE. SHE HAS AN ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING AND TO ME IS A "DEMON SENT BY SATAN" no matter how she speaks of having a faith.

This is a time when Christians must stand BOLDLY for the truth and expose these SATANIC IDEA"S that threaten to destroy everything this country stands for especially our Christian commitment to God, and the freedom we have to do that.

SHE HAS BEEN SEDUCED BY SATAN, AND BRINGS US A MESSAGE FROM SATAN.

REMEMBER...SATAN CAN APPEAR AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT.

DON'T GIVE HER A VOICE BY ARGUING OR DIDCUSSING THIS WITH HER.

ABANDON THIS TOPIC AND IGNORE IT FOR ALL YOUR WORTH.

The chosen few of Israel are still very much a part of God's plan, just like the chosen few in the U.S., and the rest of the world are too.

I'm a chicken on Sunday, spirit filled, God fearing, love mom and apple pie American but I can't dare go so are as to claim that the USA is "chosen by God to represent Him to the rest of the world"!  While I do acknowledge God's hand in our history (as with all other history) I feel it's quite arrogant to think that we know why He does or allows the things that happen, much less ascribe it to our as a nation having been "chosen by God" and singled out "to represent Him to the rest of the world like He did Israel many ages ago". On what Scriptural doctrine do you base this opinion? I don't even remember the USA being mentioned in the Scripture.

God‘s own country really does not make sense because god owns the world

But the USA really have some forms of Christianity which are very distinct from Europe or which have gone extinct here. Although some of this forms (like prosperity gospel) are not really what I understand to be very Christian there are surely a lot of things that I can learn from you too.
