Those on this thread fighting against the truth will be ashamed in the end when they find that Paul wasn't speaking against works for salvation in Eph. 2. He was speaking against boasting of good works as if they are of ourselves.

The work (not works) of Salvation is all HIS. Regardless, we are going round and round here and soon the discussion will need to end I think. I will end my participation and revert back to the role of moderator but first... a story and a closing comment.

This reminds me of an experience my wife had a few years ago, which I witnessed. She held weekly Bible Studies for women in our home during which she fed them dinner. The participants varied in age and spiritual maturity and included the wife of a convicted felon serving time in jail; a mother of 5 young children who had a sordid past but had repented from it and was now happily married; an older saintly woman whose preacher husband had an affair and left her and his ministry; and a bunch of others with their own struggles. Though the studies, these women found encouragement, support, love...and most importantly they grew in the Lord. The studies were direct from the Word of God and each took their turn facilitating the study.

One week, one of the ladies asked a friend to visit and conduct the study for them. I was in the next room so I heard much of what was spoken. She, like Fisher, began teaching a works based doctrine and then presented herself to the group as an example of one who had achieved "sinlessness". The women of coarse realized this was bad doctrine and began to gently correct her by taking her to passages of Scripture and in love, expressed their struggles but how the Lord is always there to pick them up. After just a few minutes, this lady began to shout at the others in anger, rebuked them for eating while she was teaching and stormed from our house spouting obscenities.

Saints, don't buy this junk doctrine that Fisher and others are pushing. George Whitten has posted a great study in the Study Forum that I suggest you read... Difference between JUSTIFICATION and SANTIFICATION. Also, Shiloh has posted an excellent study on Grace titled A Biblical Understanding Of Grace. Read both...you will be blessed.

Lastly, there will be no shame when I meet the Lord. I will be too consumed I expect with falling prostrate before HIM and casting my crown at HIS feet.

May the Lord Bless you richly,

Wayne

Fishers of Men,

I've noticed you using terms like "doctrines of demons," "the ignorant," and "heretics" in relation to those of us who oppose your argument. Do you truly believe that we are ignorant, that we are heretics, and that we hold the doctrines of demons here?

If so, then there can be no further discussion with you in this regard.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sings and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have no sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:6-10

The importance that John is dealing with is that sin interrupts our fellowship with God and one another. He implores us to walk in the light, however he acknowledges that we will sin, this is why he spend the latter part of this chapter and hte first part of chapter two explaining that Christ is our advocate. In essence, in order to be forgiven and to restore our fellowship (not relationship, that is continual) with God all we have to do is confess. No works to make up for it, and no works to keep us away from it.

It is clear as day Fisher.

Christ is not among these post or the spirt in which they were posted, and I no longer wish to be a part of it.

Fisher is a false prophet. We are called by God, Jesus, Paul, and many others to exploit false prophets and their teachings. John would have nothing to do with certain teachers, and even called one the enemy of truth. His [John's] disciple Polycarp called another false teacher the first born of Satan. Jesus called false teachers vipers.

Calling Fisher for what he is...there is no fault in that.

I would suggest that any kind of labeling of persons has no profit in the discussion overall.

I have not followed this thread, but I would agree. And we are commanded: " let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt..."

It's profitable if it warns others of the false message isn't it? I thought we were called to expose lies. Especially for those who are weaker in the faith, I thought it was our responsibility to warn them not to fall into a possible trap. :noidea:

Tess, there is a way to expose lies without insulting names, calling someone garbage, belittling them and their thoughts and pounding them into the ground. Christ did it all the time. :21:

And other times He called the Pharisees a brood of vipers, fools and hypocrites. :21:

I think certainly there is a time to be patient and gracious (as many of us have tried to do)...but this has extended for 8 pages now and has spilled all over the boards into various topics. There comes a time when enough is enough and you have to call it like it is....which is lies.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
