The title for this thread must already be simple, it is a verse of scripture regarding our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is the simplicity that is in Christ..

Hebrews 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

or in english:-18 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

Thank you for trying to simplify your title.

And no longer weak through the flesh, now strong and the better hope we draw near to God through perfection, which the law lacked that perfection..

Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Only Jesus is perfect and we can draw neer to God bvecause of our relationship with Jesus, not because of any imagined perfection in us.

We are still sinners who daily sin and need forgiveness.

The Servant of the Lord

42 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
    my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”

verse 3, the damaged or hurt and those whose faith is dying he will not destroy.

Who among us can truely say that our faith/trust is not weak or that we don't need his support.

Faith is strong, not weak, because it is the faith of Christ within us, Holiness and Gods love made perfect in us, nothing to do with us, but everything to do with the Lord..

1 Corinthians 3:17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Please read your verses again.

None of them say that our faith is perfect or that our faith will be strong.

Yes our faith is a gift from God simple practicality will tell you that not everyone trusts God or has faith in God in the same way or to the same extent.

Also on a practical matter, if you are unable to understand that people are very different you should not be telling them how they should live as Christians.

A blamket admonision that Christians do this..... could be damaging to a Christian struggling with that issue.

"or that our faith will be strong."

"not everyone trusts God or has faith in God in the same way or to the same extent."

Perfect faith:

Perfectly joined together

that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together

the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things

the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part

if ye stand fast in the Lord.

that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Psalm 101:6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
16

1 Thessalonians 3:For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

What can your complaint be this time, this time you might claim it is out of context. These words and methods were used before, I will gladly remind you of them soon from the Gospel.

I am pointing out that you are a very harsh shepperd of the sheep.

You display no understanding of the weaknesses of ordinary Christians and rather than show them how they can improve you rebuke them.

His strength is made perfect in our weakness........so it is not talking about strength as the world thinks of strength.  It is not speaking of a fleshly strength.....but the weaker we are in our flesh and its ways, the more the Spirit can manifest unhindered.  "Be STILL and know that I am God."  Yielded to His Spirit.  This is why we are chastised as sons along the narrow path, carrying our cross.....to weaken and kill the hold of the flesh and old man nature in our life.

Just a copy and paste. You can see that by the double <CR> spaces.

Nothing wrong with copy/pasting scripture.......the scriptures in the OP are telling a story.  About the difference between being under bondage to the Law and flesh as opposed to the new way of the Spirit.  They are showing forth what "perfection" and faith means.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
