Since today is Wednesday. I am sorry, that they are forced to participate in this day, since Wednesday, has it's origins in Woden's day, a day to commemorate Woden. Woden or Odin is the chief god of the Germanic pantheon. Not to worry though, tomorrow is Thor's day! Merry Christmas everyone. Where did he tell you not to drop litter? The Holy Spirit within us is the Spirit of Truth. The Lord is the Truth and he loves the truth. The pagan festival on the 25th Dec. is a lie. It is not Jesus' birthday and the symbolism associated with it is unbiblical (to put it mildly). If you were washed up on a deserted island, never having heard the gospel, nor having heard about "Christmas"; and you found a Bible, read it and God saved you, you would not, in a million years, come up with "Christmas" as being something that pleased the Lord; in fact, you would have no clue that such a festival existed at all. On the other hand, you would know about baptism, the Lord's Supper, the Jewish feasts, etc, etc. Spare a thought for those Christians who want to follow God's word and not the traditions of men, particularly when those traditions are rooted in paganism. It opens up conversations right, left and centre. I think everyone here can agree to that. So what is there left to argue about? Would if help if I just agree that you are right? In that there is nothing in the Bible that says we are to do Christmas or celebrate Jesus's birthday? Because that is right. Nothing in the Bible about that stuff.
