Ah, that's awkward! Such a needed button! So you can also copy and paste by doing the following... Highlight the sentence or paragraph you want to copy with your mouse. Now that you have it highlighted, hold down the "Ctrl" key and tap the "C" key. (This combination, Ctrl+C, copies what you have highlighted). Finally, click where you wish to paste the sentence or paragraph and hold down the "Ctrl" key and tap the "V" key. (This combination, Ctrl+V, pastes what you have highlighted). Bonus round: You can also Cut what you have highlighted by using Ctrl+X, which you can again paste using Ctrl+V. Hope that helps until you get a new mouse! Love & Shalom

There you can alter the configuration for the mouse button. Maybe you changed something by accident. If that doesn't work....you'll just have to go out and buy a brand new computer now, won't you?

Delete your mouse and restart your system - just before you restart, make sure mouse (if hard-wired) or the tiny USB wireless thing that came with the mouse is in a different USB port. When it restarts it should notify you that it has found a new hardware device etc. You should be good to go after you have logged in and the 'new device' is installed. Use the TAB key and SHIFT-TAB to move around the screen if you mouse is not yet connected properly. P.s. If you have a PS2 mouse, then it is far more complex as one of the plug-in pins may be damaged. Edited January 7, 2020 by Justin Adams
