a) Salvation is a free gift to all who BELIEVE and are LOYAL to the Lord God thru Christ Yeshua/Jesus.

b) Sanctification is God's process of making you less sinful in your daily life.

c) If anyone wants to add a yolk to your salvation by telling you to do thus and such... refer to 'a' above.

“Loyal” such a lovely way to say;

 “being a do’er of the word.”

Be blessed as you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling...

Yes, so true, the Spirit of Truth has come to dwell in us to teach us all things. With but with one requirement, and that is that we stay willing.... Oh to increase this willingness of our hearts before God....

Amen!

I haven't always been willing (mental illness is fickle) but the Lord is faithful to continue the work He started because I'm in Him now. How easy it is to forget that Jesus Christ loved us first...

… to lose sight of the fact that the Lord chose us before we chose Him.
… to overlook how the Son of God was moved for our sake before we believed in Him. I was an atheist when Almighty God spared me!

I'm reminded of these every day. Whenever I find myself lost in that twisted version of the world provided by depression --- and I'm afraid for my soul, the Lord hears and leads me out of delusion. Every time Christ does this something changes and I become stronger... more confident in the Lord... and my faith grows just a little larger.

This is my reward in these dark times: instead of withering away to the curse the Lord saw fit to raise me up from the dust and breathe upon me, sending His Spirit to dwell with me always. God's Spirit is faithful to conform me to the image of the Son in whom we have eternal life even when I'm to weak to stand... or believe that all is lost. :)

Such a blessing to read and see the fruit of God working in a life!

Be so blessed, for we do have His promise to perfect that which concerns us and to learn and know this is so by experience......Oh that He would make a quick work of it.

Romans 7:20 (NKJV)
Now if I do what I will not [to do,] it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

Getting rid of the sin that dwells in us is the purpose of our salvation, that we might walk worthy onto God. This is the newness of life that is for all Christians to walk in in this life. No amount of self will or strength of will will be able to overcome that sin that dwells in us. But thanks be to God He has made another way, righteousness apart from the law has been brought in. Where the works of the law will be fulfilled in us, but not by us. Faith in God, and a ever present desire to overcome this sin is now what is required. A ever present desire towards being made free from sin. This desire added with faith is now what is required to overcome the sin that dwells in us. For the just shall live by faith is now the directive we as Christians are to live by. This faith in the operation of God in us, a moment by moment causing us to walk in His statutes. A moment by moment walking in newness of life. It is recognizing and realizing what our salvation in Christ consists of that is that that will free one from the sin that dwells in them.

Which is the answer to this question;

How could one be guaranteed to never ever sin again, from now to all eternity?

There is but one way and that is, if right now you were to die. Death is that that frees one from the sin that dwells in them.....Christ tasted death for every man. This is how He fulfilled the law, by taking us to death with Him thereby freeing us from the law and the requirements of the law. Henceforth scripture says;

Romans 6:1-2(NKJV)
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

“we who have died to sin”

This is the reckoning that the scripture speaks of, that is the one thing that is necessary to be made free from sin. To reckon this truth to be true in our lives moment by moment as we go through the day. This is the way of righteousness by faith apart from the law that Christ’s death and resurrection has opened up to man. The heart that desires to be freed from the sin that dwells in them, can be freed from that sin by the faith of the heart reckoning themselves dead to sin and alive unto God by a moment by moment reckoning of this truth to be true. The truth of truths, “that when Christ died we died”, the strength of that death frees us from the sin that dwells in us. Faith in one being joined with Him in His death opens up that walking in newness of life that is the desire of the new creation in us. To walk pleasing to God in all things.

May God continue to open  up and work these truths in us, so we might walk in newness of life and be pleasing to God in all things, as we live the rest of our time in the body.

Hello,

If you are talking about absolute perfection as seen by God,  you are correct.

But, scripture does teach that the path to that perfection is through being joined with Christ in  His death.

“he that has died is free from sin”

Which is accessed by first knowing it is true, than by the faith of the heart turned towards it.

(Having said that.)

What is the foundation that teaches all things?

It is having and feeding one’s personal relationship with Christ. Which relationship is with the promise, to conform one to Christ and perfect that which concerns the heart that is His.

So to the heart that is His, I wish you all good things in Christ. Not me

I have been seeking the Lord for a breakthrough from this sin that dwells in me. I know that only the Law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus can set me free from the Law of sin and death which is in me.

This is the answer I 've got You can't get a breakthrough without prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting helps you connect with the power of God and brings you into your destiny. This kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting. Jesus was saying, this power comes from living a lifestyle of prayer and fasting.

The early church fasted every week. John Westly fasted 2 days every week as a lifestyle. Daniel because of his commitment to living a lifestyle of prayer and fasting, the anoiting on his life was 10 times greater than his peers.

Mathew 6-giving praying and fasting. These principles have been these for centuries. You can't get any breakthrough from the sin that dwelleth in me without living a lifestyle of prayer and fasting every week and also corporate fasting as a church for an extended season.

Amen, great post, For we walk by Faith and not by sight/2 Corinthians 5:7

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
