Abram's covenant was for all the nations. Yeshua came to the gentiles as well. Check out the trip to Bashan and the herd of swine episode in a country that was not in Israel. He sent out 70 as a hint He was regathering the Babel scatterings, and the Pentecost outpouring was to those that would return to foreign lands and begin church groups. Samaria as well figures in Yeshua's travels and content.

The apostle wrote to Israelis and gentiles as can be seen by his letters. He was the apostle to the gentiles. Cornelius is another indicator that Yeshua came to the gentiles.

God is the God of all nations. They all belong to Him.

When God said to Abraham that through him all nations would be blessed, what was in view was that God would bless the Gentile nations in the Davidic kingdom on earth.

The Gentiles could always by faith be blessed through Israel.

The Gentiles were blessed during Jesus's earthly ministry by believing he was Christ, the Son of God.

Your theology is questionable I think. It was a covenant for all times and all places.

Ask of me and I will give to thee, the heathen for thine inheritance. The peoples of the earth were ALWAYS God's. Abraham himself was NOT a Jew or Israeli.

The "wall" of separation that kept Gentiles out, has been torn down.

Ephesians 2:11 "Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles . . . were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility" (ESV)

He has made us - believing Jew and believing Gentiles - "both one" - one body.

Whether you call that one body "Israel" or "the church" (which means "the congregation"), it's the SAME GROUP.  It is made up of those who believe in Christ Jesus.

There are NOT two different groups who belong to God and Christ.  There's only one body - one bride.

The New Jerusalem has foundations named for the 12 Apostles, and gates named for the 12 Tribes of Israel - but it's ONE CITY - ONE BRIDE.

The body of Christ does not include Jew and Gentile that believed the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus and the twelve. The body of Christ is those who believe the gospel of grace preached by Paul.

I am mystified about this theology. It just seems wrong to me.

I'm a little confused about what you're trying to communicate here too? Where do Messianic Jew's fit in with what you're trying to convey?

Here is a start

Right division simply allows the Bible to say what it says. Right division explains the Bible, rather than explaining it away.

Right division allows for the recognition that there are two programs in God's purpose for Israel and the body of Christ. God was reconciling heaven and earth to himself.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

The kingdom of God is composed of both the earthly and the heavenly.

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The believing remnant of Israel composed of Jews and Gentile will inherit the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth (Exodus 19:6) and will reign with Christ (Revelation 20:4). The remnant will be kings and priests unto God.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The body of Christ, the church, will be in heavenly places.

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

The gospel of the kingdom was preached to Israel by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Peter was the apostle to the circumcision, the Jews. Paul was the apostle to the uncircumcision, the Gentiles, and as such, taught differing gospels.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Christ, by the cross, has reconciled all things in heaven and earth to himself.

Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

God established Israel to be a blessing to the nations; through Israel the nations would come to God.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

God established Israel to be a blessing and a light to the Gentile nations of the world.

Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.

Jesus Christ came as a minister to Israel to fulfill the promises of God to Israel, bring in the kingdom of heaven, and establish Israel as that light to the nations.

Israel rejected Christ and stones Stephen in Acts 7.

Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

God set Israel aside temporarily and turned to the gentiles.

Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

God has interrupted the timeline to establish his Kingdom by the dispensation of the grace of God, to which Paul has been made a minister to the Gentiles.

Paul preaches his gospel in this dispensation, by which we are saved by simply believing it and trusting Christ for a completed salvation unto eternal life;

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Christ paid in full the penalty for our sin, and rose again to give us eternal life and the forgiveness of sin. The Lord Jesus Christ is our complete salvation.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Israel failed to keep the first covenant. The LORD will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and Judah.

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Jesus came to fulfill all that was written and shed his blood on the cross for the remission of sins Israel committed under the first covenant (Hebrews 9:15). Jesus died to put in force the new testament.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

A time of tribulation, will in the future, prepare Israel to accept Christ; God will establish his Kingdom; God will fulfill all the prophetic promises given to believing Israel.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Israel was unable to achieve it's purpose on it's own, so God will do it for Israel. God will empower Israel to be righteous, to be a light, to be that blessing to the Gentiles in the kingdom.

Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will be the fulfillment of the new testament promised to Israel. Jesus will blot out all sin from Israel (Acts 3:19) and forgive all their iniquities (Jeremiah 31:34). A new heart will be given to Israel so they can be righteous and keep his commandments. Israel will inherit all their promised land. Israel will be a blessing to the world.

Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

God will have fulfilled his purpose; heaven and earth will have been reconciled to himself and will gather together in one all things in Christ.

Lotsa big words.. So Peter did not go to Cornelius then.. They fully accepted what Barnabas and Paul attested to in Jerusalem and James quoted and repurposed a couple verses out of Amos, talking about 'adom' i.e. Adam and his descendants and the rebuilt tabernacle of David (Yeshua). All the disciples knew that the gospel was also to the gentiles and accepted this fact. There was no distinctions made by any of them. Jews, Greeks, male or female, bond or free...

God raised up Israel to be a blessing to the world. They failed to keep the covenant. Christ came to confirm the promises to Israel. Christ and the twelve preached the gospel of the kingdom. Israel was to believe in the name of Jesus, that he was their Messiah, the Son of God. Israel was to repent for the kingdom was at hand. The Davidic kingdom on earth with Christ ruling over the Gentile nations and Israel reigning with Christ as a kingdom of kings and priests. They are in Christ and will be raised at Christ's return to enter the kingdom. They are called the church of God.

God chose Paul to reveal the gospel of grace and the body of Christ who will be raised to his heavenly kingdom.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
