Nobody Repented from Sins  like Judas  did......sorrow and regret for sins accomplishes nothing of Eternal Value unless  it prompts  a Turning To God ( the Repentance That Saves ) with Faith in Jesus Christ.Judas Repented and turned to a noose.Peter Repented Of His cowardice and turned to God and was restored. It should be noted that if you Believe in Jesus.....If you have undergone the “ change of mind” that takes you from NOT believing in Jesus, to actually putting all of your Faith in Jesus— you have repented and you are Saved. One can Repent Without Believing, But it is impossible to Believe Without Repenting. The Apostle John understood this.....The Word “ Repent” occurs zero times in His Gospel , and John is the Book we almost always send New Believers to in order to understand Salvation...

If you truly wish to understand what “ Repentance” is all about.....get educated here—- “ getgodsgift.org” God Bless....

But Jesus DID say:

"Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments." He said to him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matt 19:17-19 RSV

@johnthebaptist The next verse in :20 the man says says All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?

Keep in mind he was speaking to pharisees that think they could keep the law, To paraphrase to try make a point, Jesus Told him to be perfect,Then Basically change his Direction and come follow him but the man obviously liked his life too much and went away, then we get the famous saying It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. The Disciples where amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Jesus replied With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

My answer Is directed at you because you said something quite a while back that has stuck with me since, you said something along the lines that your Church doesn't Teach about been Born Again

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You must be born again

Mathew 3:11 indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

All things in the Bible are in a context. That doesn't nullify the Lord's words. We aren't supposed to commit adultery or the other sins. Jesus said so in the New Testament. God said so in the Old Testament.

1 minute to read and respond :) no we aren't supposed to do those things .... but the point was If you try do those things You can still Lack something that is important

Yes if you Love Jesus you will keep his commandments, it is not keep his commandments to prove you Love him, Easy to read that verse out of context, Love is more complicated than following a list of Rules, Do you Love Jesus?

When we sin, trouble enters our lives. I imagine that's why the Lord told us not to sin.

Fair enough point wanted to talk about some other points but never mind, If sin is a problem

1 john 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

but lets not forget the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Thing being, as I said, we get ourselves into trouble when we sin, and that would be why the Lord told us not to sin. Now the Lord can get us out of the jams our sin gets us into, but he expects us to learn from our mistakes.

Topic been talked about was actually salvation and been Born again if all you can see is trying to obey the commandments to not sin your in a bigger Jam than you realize. I would recommend Thinking on this verse

John 16:Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I just get uncomfortable when someone suggests it's okay to sin.

I missed that Who said that?

When I say we should repent, and someone suggests it's unimportant, I take that as an endorsement of sin.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
