The topic of thorns also came up. I, for example, said I had accepted my chronic pain condition as a thorn.  But, that might be after you had blocked me so you didn't see it.

hi, hope all is well with you.. but as for blocking you I never did such a thing.. I would never. I came here for support and though others don't agree all the time I have never blocked anyone... I really don't know where this mix up came from...

Yes, not different that what I said. I said disagreement is ok, I never endorsed quarreling and strife. If I say "all bananas are purple", will you agree?

You can agree outwardly but not inwardly, but that is just a form of deception. You can agree inwardly, and just be foolish.  You can disagree, outwardly and inwardly, but we do not need to fight about it, or do you disagree about that? :D

Just for the record, to the question:

"Can we all just agree?"

I think this thread itself, shows the answer to be "no". You can begin to prove me and others wrong, we you agree with everyone!

However, when  one person says "A" and the other says "B", will you agree with both? If so, then the expression of meanings with words, becomes meaningless.

How could we fix this issue?

Find things to agree on! That's the attitude that should be cultivated amongst like-minded believers who seek mutual comfort and edification around the Word of God.

We regularly remind our ekklesia that we gather to profess our faith in Christ and keep each other keen to be loving and kind, and that means we quickly move away from controversial topics that generate more heat than light. This is simply managed by someone speaking up to say that because our purpose in gathering is for spiritual growth we won't linger on uninformed interpretations and doubtful disputations.  This way we actually filter out the ranters and railers (1 Cor 5:11) who just come along to stir and wrangle. Who wants to fellowship with abusive, ignorant mischief-makers? Not me!

Heb 10:23-25  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (24)  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: (25)  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

I seen all of your post, I honestly don't know how to unblock you I tried. And again, I don't really know how to use the site that well.

Best,

What if no christian ever shows you love? What do you do?

Bottom like, disagreement is proper, division of the body of Christ, His church, is improper.

"""""Can any 2 walk together unless they be agreed?  Amos 3:3

Paul and Barnabas could not even be around each other for over 20 yrs....,   Acts 15:39.... yet both are in Heaven as you read this....

So, why do denominations and believers bang heads.?

Its one thing.  Its the severe and irreconcilable  disagreement between Grace Teachers and Legalists.  ITs THAT.  Its the "error of Cain".  And its a  spiritual fight that has been going on nearly as long as Adam the 1st has been created.

Sure, there are smaller fist fights.....there is the "tongue issue", and the issue with how some over estimate the important of spiritual gifts and obsess on this... And there are the Pre-Trib vs the other Tribs, and then you have the cults.   JWs, Mormons, Catholics......many more smaller.

But regarding mainline Christianity, that includes 95% of Protestant Pope rejecting born again people,  the main civil war is always only about "GRACE" vs "WORKS" to STAY SAVED.   ITs THAT.  And if  that argument was stopped from becoming a THREAD on every Christian Forum, you could stop 99.9 % of the hate and meanness and carnality that you find on every Christian Forum that allows this continual  online war to ensue.

Church denominational  walls are built to keep one group who understands Grace as the "free gift of Righteousness"  from helping all the other Groups find and understand Grace and the Gift of Righteousness, = "justification by faith".

This single ever continuing  dispute, where Paul pronounced a curse of God on people who cause it, = these work minded self righteous Grace twisting/denying people, has been going on since Paul's epistles were written and Jude 4 was written to expose the Legalist's who oppose the Grace of God. In fact, its been going on since Cain Slew Able, as this is the very reason He killed him.

6000 yrs later, the "error of Cain" Legalist is still trying to Kill or TWIST the Grace of God using a Pulpit....... A Forum.   A Seminary.....A Bible Commentary..... The INTERNET...... everywhere they can try to subvert the Grace of God and replace it with SELF EFFORT - Performance........ to be accepted by God = LEGALISM.  This is the Error of CAIN.  Its Galatians 1:8.

Even Paul was accused of "cheap Grace" and "license to sin",  tho not using that Americanized semantical nonsense.  The way the Legalist' who despised Grace in Pauls day said it was.....>"you are saying to sin so that Grace will come, will abound"..

So, how does all this start?

Its starts ONLY because Hebrews 13:8 is not strictly taught to a brand new believer, BECAUSE ........ there are so many Grace rejecting religious people who preach from pulpits and some Moderate Forums and protect these liars,  and others write seminary books and there are a few who have created bible versions...and their GRACE DENYING LIE  infects  the new believers before the Gospel of Christ as Given by PAUL finds them..... And so, baby Christians get twisted early on, and once twisted its 90/10 they'll die still ranting the Cross rejecting lie,  that you have to keep the Torah and the commandments and endure to the end to STAY SAVED.

Perhaps it is people who disagree, and denominations is a way around that, so people can be around other like minded people!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
