You make an excellent point! Your observation that most non-believers can only hear the words of Scripture - and make observations about the person who is addressing them. And never getting to the real "meat" of what is being said.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds
of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Amen but God knows how to deal with the nations

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.

Let's keep calling for national and individual  repentance, maybe just maybe some people or person might listen. They listened in the time of Jonah3, 1Kings18 Elijah helped turned the heart of the people back to God after calling down fire upon the altar.

Peter preached the gospel in jerusalem and many who called for Christ crucification got saved acts2

So with help from the Lord all things are possible some might get pricked in heart and see the ERRORS of their ways before it's to late.

godly sorrow workth repentance

But the sorrow of the workth death.

The passage goes even further to indicate and indict humanism = satanism.

Not just in unbelievers. Believers also have a satanic human nature to contend with.

Matthew 16:23 is a hard verse for self esteem builders / sinless Christian teachers to accept.

At best we are credited with the righteousness of Christ imputed to our account for faith in him.

That's what grace is all about and who receives this grace.

Isaiah 64:6 (AV)
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Look up "filthy rags" in the Hebrew. ← the most unclean thing in the ancient Middle East.

The basis of human worth is not our wits, our abilities, or dominance over creation, but the value God places on us. ← to every man, woman, and child.

God doesn't want us going around with inflated egos in the name of self esteem... but with humility before him!

Micah 6:8 (AV)
8 He hath shewed thee, O man,

what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee,

but to do justly, and to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with thy God?

I agree with that statement. But I believe it deserves an explanation of the term "witness". Is it walking around like a Billy Graham quoting the bible at all times, or is it simply living a life approving to God which other people can see, and maybe say to themselves: "I want to be like that." Or is it a combination of the two?"

My witness is to be Jesus people all the time. Unafraid of giving him credit. Ready to explain what I am led by the Spirit to explain about... anything, I suppose. It can be about the Bible, salvation, Jesus, God, the globalists, general philosophy, family, marriage, work, hobbies, script writing, I often use humor to make people smile or laugh. I am unashamed of crying.

I don't hide who I am or my salty vocabulary (I use discretion in places like this and with polite company) but I'm an old sailor with the lanbuage of the Apostle Peter the fisherman. I can explain where nearly all cuss words came from (some of them were even created to avoid certain words used in the Bible - fact).

My point: many unbelievers see Christians who go about life sanctimoniously to attempt to act worthy (and I understand this is how some folks manage their own demons / temptations / etc.) but it comes across as hypocritical and phony to the world. We are to concern ourselves with God first foremost. I get that. But not exclusively. We are here after all to win souls are we not?

I found, for example, not judging people and instead seeking how to help them opens far more doors for the Gospel.

We tend to think of people and situations in the Bible through a stained glass mentality. But they had the same faults we all do. And to go about acting like pharisees (self righteous /above it all) I am convinced even makes the Lord sick to his stomach. Read how he contended with them face to face or taught his disciples about them and not to be like them.    Yet look how many try to act like them to this very day.

I've also learned not to allow folks to steer conversations about the Gospel down rabbit hole arguments. "God sends people to hell..." and the like. I reiterate people are born bound for hell. Everything God has done since Adam and Eve fell has been to try to stop people from going there.

That sort of thing.

There are evangelists who are good at knocking door-to-door... or at grabbing people by the necktie to witness to them.

I never was.

I tried. But it pushed people away.

Just being me, a beggar whose learned where to find bread is the most effective way.

I don't mean to sound critical, but those who are good at evangelism (especially those notorious for it)

must take extreme care not to add to the Gospel. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Walking aisles, praying certain prayers, water baptism, inviting Jesus into your heart, making Jesus Lord of your life...

all these well intention things are not what is required of us. If they were they would be in John 3:16-18 / Ephesians 2:8-10 /

John 16:27 and so on.

But evangelism is our very purpose for remaining on this Earth after we are saved. And whatever individual specialty we are gifted with

by God in support of this purpose is our calling / ministry as priests of God (all Christians are priests of God, btw).

And thier preaching of an all inclusive gosple ,   IS adding to it and its highly dangerous .    They profess a muslim is saved even if they confess NOT JESUS by mouth so long as they do good to their neighbor .

ITS sick and its death .     the gosple is ,  we must CONFESS HIM with our mouth and beleive from the heart that GOD has raised HIM from the dead and ye shall be saved .

for with the heart man beleives unto righteousness , and confession by the mouth UNTO SALVATION .       that is clear and cut TRUTH .

Thank your your eloquent - yet very understandable - explanation of your approach to this subject.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
