i am still curious about the calling of a man on earth 'father'??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Completely off topic there, but I'll give you (link deleted) to read.

Edit... I apologize for posting a Catholic Apologetics link lol.

Jesus criticized Jewish leaders who love "the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the market places, and being called

I wrote this for someone else... hope it answers some questions for those of you who are sincerly seeking answers from me.

Is it Biblical to ask the Saints in heaven to pray for us, you ask?

Catholics say YES, since we are all part of the communion of saints.  Do you recite the Apostle

I have to respectfully disagree.

We know that the angels and saints place the prayers of the holy ones at God

we have to remember...... God is not religion..... and religion will not save a person from hell...  God wants a personal relationship with each and every one of us.....

at times, I envy Abraham for the closeness of his relationship, he sat and visited adn ate with God........ and then I recall David, Dancing before the Lord, and I remember I know how to dance, so I dance..... I sing.... I jump.... I yell.... and the Lord hears my voice as I lift it up in thanksgiving, in praise and He knows my heart in worship.

I use to think God does not speak to us anymore, then he spoke to me, and I crumpled to the ground, for i could not stand any longer in His presence.

I found that Gods will for me, is for me to be His friend.  for me to Honor Him above all...... to come to Him ( as a child would their father, we are to come to the Lord as our FATHER )

if a child gets hurt.  who do they run to ????? a brother or sister or a friend?????

NO! ! ! !

They run to Daddy..... daddy can fix it.....

can mary mend a broken heart???  no

God can..... but you have to give him all the pieces.

have you talked to your Father today?  how about this hour?mike

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That just about brought me to tears. I love my Heavenly Dadda and I DO run to him when I skin my spritual knee or have a broken heart or get mad at the devil and his unholy works. I just LOVE it that He is there to love me and to discipline me when I need it.

Faithie :)

The answer to this question of whether or not praying to Mary is ok or scriptural lies only in the scriptures themselves. Not in opinion. Mary was the chosen mother of Jesus, favored by God, and that deserves respect, no doubt! But she was a sinful human being like the rest of us. She needed a Savior like we do.

Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," There are no exceptions mentioned. Mary

Well done Keith, your reply was IMHO accurate, succinct and appropriate. Keith wins another fan over with great logic and faith.

That's absolutely gracious of you, Faithie. I'm sure you won't mind if I hand over the fan-winning, logic and faith parts to Jesus though! I love the Word!

And to my Catholic brothers and sisters, I love you dearly!!!!

The question in my mind always boils down to what I see being portrayed with respect to how people carry out their "respect" of this woman. I ask myself, "Is this worship, or is it mere "respect?"

Then I ask myself, "How would a normal person respond to this type of behavior?" In other words, if I were placed in such a position, would I feel honored or would I feel like too much honor was being placed upon me?

I honestly cannot say for myself that the following images portray mere "respect" for the woman, Mary:

http://www.incrediblepeople.com/image/mary_statue(1027).jpg

http://www2.seasite.niu.edu/PicDB/East/01247.jpg

There is a statue of Mary that today exists. It is adorned with a crown of gold, diamonds, and precious stones. All together it is literally a "treasure." it is priceless. The monitary value of that statue alone could feed poor people in Africa and other parts of the world for years. Yet it stands alone, as a sign of "respect" for the mother of Jesus.

Putting myself in Mary's sandals for minute, I ask myself: Could I, as a lover of the Lord Jesus, permit other believers to venerate me in such a manner? Could I allow them to construct such lavish statues of my image and cart them around on their backs while others throw money and flowers upon it? Could I allow them to flock to sanctuaries built in my name, and permit some to even crawl for miles on bare hands and knees so that they would be able to pray before that image?

How then could a woman, a sinner such as myself, be honored by such things? Honestly, as much as I selfishly seek the attention and respect of my peers and loved ones on the earth, I could never allow such utter idolatry to be committed upon me.

Yes, there is indeed a solid line between respect and worship. Perhaps a better thing for me to have said would have been, "I respect God in His choice of Mary."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
