Which Beatle was your “ fave”.....lol.....I bet you had a crush on Ringo.....

My sister absolutely loved Ringo. When he married Maureen Cox, she was a little sad for herself, but managed to be happy Ringo had found love. She got a hold of his Liverpool home address from one of those teen magazines and wrote her love letter pouring her heart out to him. Oh my. Was she ever crazy about Ringo. He received more fan mail than Paul, John, and George.

Not long after, perhaps a couple of months, a registered telegram returned with a message from Mrs. Starkey, Ringo's mum replying. Yes, Ringo had moved out some time prior and was then residing in London soon to be wed. In a brief message the telegram read, "I'm so sorry, dear. Richie isn't home at the moment. But I'll make sure he gets your sweet letter. Warm regards, Mrs. Starkey."

My sister had it framed and hung it on the wall with her shrine of posters that filled the walls and ceiling of her bedroom. Next to it was a picture of Ringo and his bride. She carefully laminated it with scotch tape, framed that as well. It was a really special thing for her to have received such a thoughtful and considerate momento from Ringo's mum. What a nice thing for her to respond.

My first fave was Paul. Then Ringo, I was very influenced by Sis and followed along for quite a while. Then John took over as my favorite until then end. John did disappoint me a number of times while being a member of the group. The controversial, "We're more popular than Jesus now." statement. He did apologize for the off the cuff remark shortly after in attempts to redeem himself.

Marrying Yoko Ono and divorcing his sweet wife Cynthia was pretty disappointing too. What in the world had gotten into him? I dunno. It confused the entire rest of the group as well. She was such an odd bird. John was taken by her concept artistry for whatever it was. They both got into some pretty way out things touting for peace. Grow your hair for peace. Cut it off for the same.

When the breakup was announced and George's three LP issue All Things Must Pass came out, I took to him and his music as my favorite. Songs like My Sweet Lord and others inspired me to also look towards Jesus that had been left dormant for a few years of personal confusion. Yeah, George became Hindu-ish with the Hare Krishna thing, But this did lead me to searching Jesus again.

I found Christ had lovingly been waiting for me all that time. Thank you, Jesus!

John wanted Hitler in the crowd for Sgt Pepper......wisely, his idea was nixed...

So I understand. Mohandas Gandhi was also John's idea, as was Albert Einstein.

Each of The Beatles had a chance to place their own wall of fame on the album cover to Sgt. Pepper.

Original LP cover.                              Alternative photograph. Nice!

Other than the fact that it was at a 90 degree angle to his head......I don’t know.....the guys were always  way ahead of everybody else— did he sport the world’s first male ear piercing ?  I give up...

Maybe. Who else pierced an earlobe besides George? Too easy.

I would say George had the longest hair—- but that is too easy....lol......has to be a trick question

When John player Pvt. Gripweed In “How I Won The War” He was sporting a burr haircut, so I would say that he had the shortest hair

As for the other question? I don’t have a clue......good questions .....tougher that you think!

You may have noticed all of them are trick questions. The answers also pertained to Beatle years and solo years. You're very close, but forgot to consider the solo era. You're also off a little on one. Try again. And you also missed these two questions.

Which Beatle got a curly hair permanent?

Which Beatle got one or more tattoos?

Here's a few more. (too easy)

Which Beatle was the first to do a solo record?

Which Beatle released the most solo albums?

Which Beatle released the least solo albums?

You left out” I Feel Fine”....... remember the feedback at the beginning?

The Hoffner Bass Thingy I was referring to was the fact that Paul’s first Hoffner was stolen....

George Martin said that Ringo was a better drummer than John was a guitarist....

I was serious about loaning you The Beatle Books that I have.....let me know if you want to borrow them.

I will leave you with 2 questions....

What are your favorite Yoko Ono songs?

Why was John killed instead of Yoko?

One more question......the first time you saw Yoko posing nude on the “ Two Virgins” album, did you wash your eyes out with bleach like I did? Lol.....

No doubt John's death was the wrath and judgment of God, due to his anti-Christian comments in 1966.

I'm not against secular music, though. The musicians themselves might be wicked, but the earth and the fullness thereof is the Lord's, Who richly gives us all things to enjoy, so that we might do so to His glory. I liked the Beatles since I was 11 or 12 years old; I'm 30 now. Not as far back as some of you - no offense!

I'd like to post this also. No doubt an addressing of these issues would have come up and with the permission of a member who asked this from me by PM. It pertains to both John Lennon and George Harrison. Both of them remained on good terms when the group broke up, even though taking complete differences of personal faith. This will hopefully be of some encouragement to read.

I read somewhere long time ago, that John Lennon's "Help I need somebody" was just before he got into Eastern religion, and that no Christian got to him to introduce him to Christ.  I didn't post this to your article because I don't know if it is true or not. Do you know?

I don't think I've heard that song, but I do have most of what John put out. He did less albums going solo than the others did. Of course, being shot down at 40 years of age put a stop to all the further ones that he might have done.

George got heavily into the Hindu aspect of the Hare Krishna Consciousness thing back before the band even broke up. But, he did kind of keep to a multi-deity concept of believing in God. Very odd, peculiar, and mixed up.

And John was mixed up too, even though he was probably a genius. The two of them took more LSD than did the others by far. They were tripping buddies and took a lot of it for several years before deciding it was time to stop.

I did read from a book written by an assistant of his, that he was watching a Pat Robertson 7oo Club program one day, and he reached his hand out during a salvation prayer. This guy witnessed it walking past John's bedroom.

I met him online in a Beatles News Group. His name was Fred Seaman. Pretty decent writer too. Nice guy. The name of the book was called, Dakota Days: Last Years Of Lennon. Or something like that. He was with him for five years.

Hope that answers your question. I also hope he and George managed to find Jesus. (sigh) We can only pray they did.

Ohh... Oops. The question is pertaining to the song John wrote, "Help". Also the title from the second movie The Beatles did. I wouldn't exactly say this was a plea from John to the Lord at this time. I could be wrong of course. Nice thought though. Knowing John had been tuning into the 7oo Club did encourage me. If he truly meant it from his heart reaching out for prayer, I would think the Lord had mercy upon him.

Hi, Don. Please read this above I would appreciate it very much if you would take the time.

I'm not offended particularly. But you are making a bad call, brother. You have no true knowledge about John Lennon's personal life other than the published media blitz concerning all the trash you've read over their controversial issues. Was Lennon and The Beatles controversial? Yes, in much of their earlier lives they were. But, making a brash and harsh call like this is erroneous. Perhaps before making comments such as these it would be better to bone up on the topic first. Thank you.

Yes, I was aware that John Lennon went through a period in the late 70s (starting in 1977) when he proclaimed to be a born again Christian. I believe it did not last. If that is so, then it ought to be clear that he was a spurious convent, not truly born again. But if you have other information, then I would stand corrected. Nevertheless, Lennon's comments in a 1980 interview in reference to Bob Dylan's conversion are pretty damning. So, as it stands, Lennon would be "he that received the seed into stony places" (Matthew 13:20).

Brother, I have no idea where you are getting this claim. I'm extensively knowledged in The Beatles history and their personal lives. That's a lot of years, my friend. From research, this was never officially stated by Lennon. If it has, I'd love to see it. I'd really find a lot of comfort and encouragement knowing this.

Yes, Bob Dylan being Jewish did become born again. His LP, Radically Saved would testify to that. Some years later, he did return to the faith of his forefathers. I'm not quite sure where he now stands, Dylan says little in interviews. He's always hated giving them. My mom and I were always fond fans of Bob Dylan.

Okay, I found that here (WARNING, there is foul language found at the linked webpage) : https://www.beatlesbible.com/people/john-lennon/songs/serve-yourself/

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
