I can see how one might as this. Christ.. ever thing He did was of the Father, nothing of Himself. The sweet holy Spirit.. same nothing of Himself. Everything gives praise glory to the Father..

I'm guessing there may be a fair bit of reasoning in any answer but please try to include biblical references to back up your thoughts.

Acts 13:2   yes, he is God as such he can choose anything that is in line with his nature.   Why would he make choices otherwise?

I don't know how you can even entertain such a question when The third member of The God Head is infinite.... :noidea:  there are no limits in infinite realities...

Matthew 19:26 (KJV)

[26] But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

The Holy Spirit is God. Do you not know that?

God existing as One in essence

I don't think many people really understand what that means.

I think it would depend on how one defines "Free Will".     I think I could see how some might think no from this scripture.

Quote

John 16:13-15
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.  14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.  15  All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

Are you asking me to define this to everyone?

No, just making a comment.   In trinity discussions it just seams that's the concept that people confuse.

I think OO the difficulties lay largely by our begin in sin... We have God The Holy Spirit conjoined to our new born essence but we demand from our created begin that is marred and unable to be reasoned with by s/Spiritual matters; this is easily overcome by waiting on The Lord/Spirit through promise of Scripture
1 Cor 13:12
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
KJV

This waiting is what allows us to firmly station ourselves upon the foundation of Scripture without disobedience to God through imaginations or adding or taking from His revelation of truth through said Word...  very important in my thinking!
