Yes, that Christ would die and rise again was in prophecy. That all would be justified by that death and resurrection was not.....only Israel was in view in these passages (Hebrews 9:15)

Paul said my gospel which means only preached by him....his gospel was a component of the gospel of God, different from all others.

Is. 42:6,7 (KJV)

6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Is. 49:5,6 (KJV)

5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Matt. 4:12-16 (KJV)

12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

The Lord was clearly prophesied to be a light to the Gentiles, not only the Jews, during his ministry on earth.  This was for salvation, which we know is only by his shed blood and broken body on the cross.

Paul's gospel was Jesus' gospel, Peter's gospel and the gospel of all the ages.  There is only ONE gospel.

Only One Gospel
6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-8 KJV)

That Jesus would be a light to the Gentiles was made known by the prophets, in prophecy the Gentiles would come to Christ, as seen in Isaiah 2:2-3, when he would reign from Jerusalem in the kingdom, the Gentiles would come to God through Israel in that kingdom.

What was not known was that Gentiles would be justified by faith in Christ apart from the law and apart from Israel.

You are ignoring that Christ's earthly ministry fulfilled OT prophecies about the Messiah being a light to the Gentiles, in spite of the fact that I quoted Matt 4:12-16 as proof.

Matt. 4:12-16 (KJV)

12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

“10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead-by him this man is standing before you well.
11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." - (Acts 4:10-12)

(Jesus Commandment to his disciples after the resurrection)

42 And a)he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify

b)that he is the one appointed by God to be judge

 c)of the living and the dead.

43.

  d)To him

e)all the prophets bear witness that

 f)everyone who believes in him receives gforgiveness of sins hthrough his name.”

(The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles)

44 While Peter was still saying these things, ithe Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.

(The Gentile Romans were not baptized when God sent the Holy Spirit to them, just like as in the Day of Penticost)

. 45 And the believers from among

 j)the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because

k)the gift of the Holy Spirit lwas poured out even on the Gentiles.

*Jesus Christ reveales to Peter and the elders who are with him new things...

Those people were uncircumcised Gentiles whom God baptized with the Holy Spirit...

And were not baptized...

And they had the Heavenly Father as believers in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit was pour upon them as in the Day of Penticost...without any one putting hands on them...and praying...

New revelations not known to the other disciples and evangelist and preachers....

*no having the communications we have today...and the element to consider and accept....many too many continued to preach the Gospel the way Peter preach it at first...

As in the day of Penticost when Peter was facing Jews and Israelites from different regions who had the sin to have agree with the Leaders to crucified Jesus Christ...

And were a custom to cleanse them selves with water...as in the Law...

And perhaps they were not preaching the Gospel to Gentiles...unless they circumcise them first and baptized them with water.....

God revealed a new thing to Peter and Peter and the elders with him had the mandate to teaching to others....

But not everyone accepted and follow it...

Which caused divisions in them...

Jesus new that every time he reveals something new to them that it will cause divisions...

Yes that was fulfilled as you say as well, Jesus was the light that the Gentiles would see when he would have brought in the kingdom on earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
