Now in full disclosure, I am terrible with people skills.  Always have been my whole life.   So it is possible that some of those situations were my fault somehow.  I don't know.  I just know that about myself, that I have lousy interpersonal skills.

Consider the words of Jesus more in how you treat others.   Even if people don't treat you the same way in return, at least you have done what the Lord has taught us.

12“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.  Matthew 7:12.

39And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’   Matthew 22:39.

Also, consider the words of 1 Corinthians 13.

Btw, you write well.   Why don't you put those writing skills to work in some way in order to find a job.  Or even try to write a book.

Yes, yes of course, being irritated doesn't mean I treat people badly. That would be very much against Christian belief.

I didn't mean to imply that I was insulting people.  That would be very hypocritical to not want to be treated badly by customers, and then treat your co-workers badly.

Had a co-work some years back, and we did not get along at all.  Oil and water.   He was the kind of guy, that could not say a single sentence, without cursing.  Which bugged me.  Like he could not just say "No".  He would have to say "F*** no"... why?  Why do you have to curse in every sentence? For what?

And he was always talking about breasts constantly, and what girls he'd been with, and how much he paid.  Shallow crude person all the way around.

He got another job that paid a ton more, and I made a point to go over and congratulate him on landing the big job.  Why would I be impolite to someone, just because we are not "besties" or whatever?  That has never made sense to me.  There is more than enough rude impolite people in the world already, without me adding to it.

Yes, I have been told I write well, and that I should write a book or something.  I have tried to purse this off and on.  I can't quite figure out what I would write.

I've been writing on forums since about 1999.  But of course 21 years of forum writing experience does not quite translated to a book or whatever.   So making the leap from hobby writing (which is effectively what this is), to a productive paid writing format, has been difficult.

When I sit down to write something, that is not a response to another forum poster... to just sit at the computer, with a keyboard in front of me...  I tend to blank.  I end up loading a game and playing.

I had relative in the family saying "Please write a book".  I just can't figure out how to 'just do it'.

That's all fine and good, Andy. In this day and age, it you would probably be ending up having to grapple for an online publisher and get little profit from whatever you put the effort in the undertaking. It's a fine sideline to fall back on but it's a very undependable market. First and foremost, you'd have to have the immediate mass appeal or the book will fall flat as a pancake. These are the harsh realities of the working world of authorship as a writer and publishing.

Get off your tuchus and go get that job, brother! You're wasting time here!

If you look at facebook, instagram. Oh, what perfect lives people have.
If you watch tv, oh, what perfect lives do these celebrities have.

Nothing is as it seems. Don't be fooled by the outside of things. Do you know how many celebrities take their own lives?
Each "perfect" family has their own problems and worries. Life is full of troubles and always ends in death.
Nothing in the world can fill the void. Only Jesus Christ can give true meaning to our lives as He is the source of life.

Life on earth is not only bad and empty. Since I became a born again christian, I am blessed with many things. Got rid of my anxiety problems about money and work, got rid of my bad behaviors towards my wife (work in progress), got rid of my porn addiction and got rid of my pride. Lots of peace came into my life and the words of God became clearer and clearer to me.
My life is far from perfect from a worldly perspective, but that doesn't matter anymore. Because the focus is now on the heavenly things and sharing the gospel to unbelievers.

Not any job can give you the fullfillment that you are looking for.
Not any colleague, friend, family or spouse can give you the fullfillment that you are looking for.
No fame, fortune, holidays, entertainment can give you the fullfillment that you are looking for.
No selfhelp book, quickfix tutorial, psycholigist or religion can give you the fullfillment that you are looking for.
Jesus is the only way.

You sir, are a model of what a Christian should be.  Kicking porn alone, makes you a star.  You have no idea how hard that is for most people.

Sounds fantastic.  Keep walking the path.  It may not seem impressive to you, but the fact the Lord has brought you this far, is amazing.

I didn't do it alone. It was not even me. I tried before many times on my own, before I came to Christ. Gaming addiction, porn addiction. And I failed misserably. But with God, all things are possible. Praise the Lord!

Matthew 19:26
And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

So Lonerandy, don't go imagining how your live should be. Just follow Christ and see how He will build up your life according to His will, just forget your own will for a moment and you will see. (Love those annoying clients or colleagues, appreciate everything in live because that is God's gift to you.)

That was a quality post, Wesley. I give that a "Well Said!" from me. Excellent, by the way.  Have you found any leads yet for gainful employment? Don't turn down something just because it doesn't suit your personality or preferred job description. Being too choosy will cause you to go flat broke before you know it. Time's a wasting! Go get that job!

And have a nice day! 485827943_blinkysmiley.gif.30012c113db18bd482acdf75c2d07ce6.gif

Work as for the Lord.  You sound like Ecclesiastes.   "All is vanity."  So I agree with others who have said "count your blessings".  The Israelites were told to build a monument to remind them all the wondrous things God has done for them.  Recording them in a diary would work as well.  This is especially true of answers to prayer.   Another one would be to record all the attributes of God.  It reminds us what a good and just God is that we serve as well as how much He loves us; His grace for us who deserve nothing but punishment is mind boggling.  My heart just overflows when I keep my eyes on God.

The easiest format to get published for free is Amazon KDP, Kindle Publishing. For when you do write something.
