so I can pray on anything i eat and God will alter it for my good? If that were so, i guess people in america aren't praying for their food because we've got a serious health problem here.

considering that the absolute lowest quality of ground beef i can find in any local grocery store runs appx 3.50/lb, (and if i want less than 20% fat i'm paying upwards of 4.99/lb), i could care less what gene alterations or pesticides pollute my food. i'll thank God for not making me scavenge out of dumpsters!

Lady C ~ Scavenging out of the dumpster isn't that bad. I have done it many times. Was eating very well back then steak, fish and salmon. When the expiration date is over, the grocery clerk throws the whole package away. One just has to check for a tear, that's all.

As for your comment that you could care less if gene alternations pollute your food, you may feel different if some harm came to your husband or children from eating that stuff.

Plus everyone should CARE once they know the Truth about something.

LOL! Great answer, Yomo! About that grass...ours is fertilized with tons of chemicals and bugkillers, so it's not altered...just "nuked".

I'm not testing God, i was reiterating what was said. I don't believe you can just eat anything you want and God will bless it. If that were so, all Christians would be in the best health there is. Unfortunately, that's not the real deal. A lot of Scripture is interperted a little differently than i understand them regarding eating whatcha want. But, hey everyone has to be convinced in his own mind right?

*shakes head* We had this discussion in my biology class last year. Most of the class was against genetically modified foods because of how it affects us, and how it "destroys the environment". I don't have much of an opinion on this subject. However, someone did bring up a good point.

Back before genetically modified food, many would get water out of well. In that water, there were many organisms in there. Becuase we have these modified foods, our body does not have the organisms to keep out those desieses or to fight them. If we stop eating those genetically modiefied foods, think what it woudl do to our bodies?I mean, think of how sick we would get.

I just praise the Lord for the fact that we have food. And hey, here is a good reason for someone to pray over their food You don't know what is in the food you are eating, you better pray over it
