Can we find truth in a weed patch? Someone asked how many denominations are there? How did so many denoms come to be?

They came to be because after the reformation the church became scattered with out a shephered. Therefore many groups were formed  of there  own interpretations and social ordrs.

Jesus said if you continue in my word then you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

It is also said in Hebrews. But without faith it is imposible to please him, for he that commeth to God must believe that He is and that he is a rewarder of those them that diligently seek Him.

If we want truth we must be hungry for it. Where can one go today Find the truth. Finding a right church fellowship today could seem difficult. this why I said we must be hungry for the truth. it is a diligent call that will not be still till God and the Holy Spirit reveal it to you  Status quo is not good enough.

If the truth is there and one has eyes to see it yes one can. Jesus was reject, was a ' weed ' in the eyes of authority.

Do remember that one has to humble oneself to admit that one is a sinner in need of a saviour and one also has to humble oneself to accept the leadership/authority of a pastor in a local church.

Far too many people will do the first, but not the second, both in a local church and those looking to join it.

We seek truth through God. God has revealed His truth through His word. There is a sovereign God who created the heavens and the earth. That we might know Him through His son Jesus Christ. That is absolute truth.

Yes one can find truth or able to allow god to reveal ittin the weed patch but we must be diligent to find it. We cannot find truth in the preacher but in what he preaches. It has to be in line with Gods word. You will. lnot alway fin true the in any one church community Many times truth is mixed with error and not all preaches are on themark

Today more than ever we must be weary. after all it is our salvation to walk

Certain Jews were hearing Jesus when  he said to them " If you continue in my word than you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. " So many today are easy going and satisfied letting and the the teachers do the teachng and except without question. At Home theBible is a ceter peace on the living roo table with out so much as a page turned unti nex weeks Sunday meeting. I tell you this will not get one t heaven. We must have personal hunger if we are to truly find the truth in the weed patch.  We nee daily devotion Which I hghly sugest you find that special place every day.

To find truth one must have discernment. There are over 7 billion people in the world. A third of the population profess Christianity. Einstein said the elite class usually controls the church. And those elite churches are friends of the world.  Any who are taught lies or living lies, when presented with truth must decide if what they know or are living is truth or a lie.

When proselytizing I can only present the truth. It comes down to the individual having discernment.  They must decide to go where truth leads them or live a life of lies.  The world is a place of lies.

Because I Love truth, I love the Messiah. He is truth.

If we already know Jesus we merely need eyes and ears to  hear him. We cannot always dictate which church we attend and in those sucumstances we need to be able to extract goodness out of very unpromising material.

Like culling out the field. Taking  what you know is good and leave the rest. Sad and needing prayer  are comefortbable with doctrines of devils.

So why do you post here or respond to people who clearly do not share your views?

If you are so ready to abandon people who do not get to hear a view other than that preached in a liberal church, why do you bother here?

Perhaps it would better if you made what you   are say

There is only one place now that we can place confidence and that is in Gods word of the New Testament teaching. Don't get me wrong many churches have good biblically preacher but not all. There are also certain churches that have adopted unbiblical teaching and doctrines and made them seem to be true yet but used scrture to teach untruth    the the are scripture miss used to what is not biblical.

To get with confidence concerning truth  we on have one place to to to get it. Truth comes with time and wisdom as we are admonished " Show thyself approved a workmen who need not be ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth"

Jesus also said if you continue in my word the you will no the truth and the truth shall set you  free. I stated back post 23

We must have personal hunger if we are to truly find the truth in the weed patch.  We nee daily devotion Which I hghly sugest you find that special place every day. Is this comment unbiblical?

Then you said to me  Quote

If we already know Jesus we merely need eyes and ears to  hear him. We cannot always dictate which church we attend and in those circumstances we need to be able to extract goodness out of very unpromising material.

What did i say that you did not say .  how much time do you pray and study in your own private place also known as the prayer closet

Perhaps what i said about doctrines of devils disturbed you but you said to me

You said to me then  ---So why do you post here or respond to people who clearly do not share your views?

Mike --- This is a chat room board and I like posting here not to insult people who may not see or misunderstand what i say.

Praying for truth an the prayer closet is good and we should do it every day along with reading devotions such as The Daily Bread ai do how about you?

If one stays in a church that preaches error and you may not fully mature in the word you will soon come to believe in falsehoods.  My opinion  may not be able to decern error. Let me post another post to give and example.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
