The book I am referring to supports the pretribulation theory although it describes all of the other end time theories. The authors are solid Christians. If you are ok with that then this is an excellent book. It is available on Amazon but also in libraries.

If you want to understand Revelation of John for yourself you are talking about a huge task...Agean stables type task in all reality. 

 

It's a Final Exam of scripture. 

Anthropology, history, Hebrew and Greek poetry, topography and geology and all of the various arts of the period are needed. 

 

Then there's ALL the biblical knowledge BEFORE you read it to understand what and why what is being said is said. Attributes of God cannot and must not be compromised in any of your understanding of the scriptures. 

 

I can tell you this much...

There is no published work out there that is going to completely and accurately tell what Revelations is revealing...and likely there won't be either. There's a ton of controversy of people arguing for positions that are both incorrect. 

If everyone got Jesus' arrival and ministry wrong except for two old prophets then what's the chances anyone will get it right for his second return?

Let's pretend that there is a cheap effective treatment called dexamethasone available that cuts mortality by about a third for those needing ventilating and a fifth for those who don't. Then that would counter the notion that the pandemic is being hijacked for political and financial reasons.

Dexamethasone sounds good ... but the pretending game ...

I don't care for pretentious people. I am more realistic. You can pretend that it's just a virus and just an unfortunate, natural phenomenon, it's no one's fault, their is nothing evil about it, no one conspiring ... heck why not just say the Media reports truth, the government is filled with godly men who are honest and Satan has no influence in the world.

You can bury your head in the sand too. This is a spiritual war sir - don't pretend it isn't!

I was just pretending. And you might like to consider the difference between playing pretend and pretentiousness - although the words are related, they mean quite different things. There are online dictionaries you might like to look at. I choose to live in fear, trust and faith in the Lord. I choose not to live in fear of the worldly powers and conspiracy.

Amen.  If we keep our minds stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace, and whether there are conspiracies or not becomes irrelevant to us, since we're not citizens of this world.  Like Jesus, we  only need to see what the FATHER is doing and be guided by Him, not trying to navigate our way by the seeing of the eye or hearing of the ear....since we don't walk by sight but by faith.  The world is evil and gone astray and always has from the beginning, no huge surprise there, and we have already been warned by the Lord in His word that towards the end things will wax worse.....transgression is coming to the full, so some of those things might be fantasy, but some might not...who really knows what is what...only God, and He will expose what He wants to expose in His own way.  These things don't matter much to us as believers, since our mandate as His people to follow Him and make disciples changes not, no matter what time in history we happen to be passing through.

But I believe we should be concerned about wickedness within God's own house.....believers, pastors, so completely enslaved and deceived by their carnality it is hard to fathom.  Important that we understand how these days mirror ancient Israel in her apostasy and how the Lord dealt with her, because the exact same scenario is playing out today within what is known as the church.  He is writing Ichabod on her doors and only a remnant will be saved.  His instruction is to come out of her, my people....or else receive of her plagues....she has become a cage of foul demons.  Protestantism can't even point a finger at Catholicism any more, she is becoming worse than her sister (Ez. 23).

A successful vaccine is unlikely for this virus...

 

Just too much that can go wrong and no where near enough time to test it. 

This is our new normal for a while yet. I miss the old life. Wish it wasn't gone.

Expect another round of depression when the full truth breaks out. 

I wish....oh HOW I WISH it wasn't true...I wish I didn't know ahead of time that this was never going to work. I wish how I was going to have a wonderful Christmas like last year's was with lots of parties and children playing with gingerbread houses I baked. 

 

It's not happening this year. There is still hope for the Antiviral I've mentioned before... it's in clinical trials.

Eventually (should the Lord tarry), we'll all shuffle off this mortal coil. I think a great deal of the response to this pandemic has been engendered by the fear of death. As Christians, we should know that death has been defeated, and there is nothing to fear, so long as we live in repentance. I'm confident that Jesus can be trusted to save us.
