The secret origin of Buddy the Mouse

Some months back, LadyKay began the now-famous thread THERE's A MOUSE IN MY KITCHEN. A true story.

I had two different true stories that related to it.

In college, a gf called me and said she had a mouse in her kitchen. I took a machete and my CAT - Melchisidec - and went over.

Mel immediately jumped out the open kitchen window and I never saw him again. Much later, my gf said she had seen MEL, that he joined a gang of alley cats that roamed the alley near her off-campus apartment.

Much much later, I lived in a trailer near Ft Hood Texas. A MOUSE took up residence. I named him Buddy. The circumstances of his demise are not clear. I may have thrown him outside in a trash bag in freezing weather.

I have since tried to commemorate Buddy the Mouse in threads here. He has died of covid and come back to life, he has been assassinated and come back to life. He is running for President.

His adventures continue.

Oh, so you are writing the Buddy threads out of guilt!!!    Anyhow, I like to laugh so enjoy your exploits of Buddy.   Do you think Buddy will ever explore the Final Frontier?   Wouldn't he be cute in a space suit?!

Oh, you're referring to Buddy's alien abduction.   Well, he wasn't really able to explore the Final Frontier then.   He just saw the inside of the alien spaceship.

Buddy has been to Alpha Centauri system

How much GUILT I have is undetermined

I killed the mouse at my college gf' s apartment, lost my cat Melchisidec, and ruined some copper tubing on her stove shoving it aside to get to the mouse, which I had to reimburse her landlord for.

Whether Buddy at my trailer froze in the garbage bag - probably not, prolly chewed his way out of it

I feel the loss of my cat, paying for copper tubing, and the fact that Buddy probably got away at my trailer

All combine to alleviate any guilt for mouse-murder
