Hermaphrodites are extremely rare.  The ones that do exist almost always have a dominant gender, so are really male or female but with a physical abnormality.

You are what you are biologically.  You cannot change that.  If a male or female has sex-change surgery and drugs, then all that happens is bodily mutilation and poisoning by drugs.

People who feel male or female, when they are in fact, biologically, the opposite, need help with their feelings, not bodily mutilation and poisoning!

P.S. We had a couple of these people (sex-changed) working in our office, several years ago.  They were both depressed and bordering on suicidal.

To me, this is a weird question because a very good argument could be made that what is called 'transexuality' is actually a manifestation of mental illness. And so to me your question essentially reads, 'Why are Christians against people being mentally ill?'. That's absurd.

However, when society decides to treat mental illness as though it is normal and healthy, and instead of treating the illness, prescribes mutilation and sterilisation (even of children in some cases), then resorts to calling everyone who disagrees with the pro-trans narrative an 'ist' or 'phobe', then tries to coerce all of society through legislation to change our language to feed the delusions of the mentally ill, then tries to force a dismissal of actual biology related to sex and gender, then tries to push their ideology onto our children through the public education system (sometimes without consulting parents), and has biological men competing against biological women in sport, and tries to permit biological men in female-safe areas such as bathrooms, and tells everyone that biological sex doesn't exist etc. etc. - there is bound to be some societal push back (and not just from “Christians”).

If people who are mentally ill are being denied treatment because of ideology, then it's the pro-trans movement that are the bad people; the bullies in the discussion, not those of us who want to engage in rational conversation. We can't have that rational conversation because the pro-trans ideologues refuse to hear anyone who disagrees with them – resorting to the fallacious strategy of name-calling (e.g. ists and phobes).

The Bible teaches that God made us male and female. We have corrupted God's design through sin. Gender Dysphoria is unquestionably a manifestation of that corruption. It would be wrong for a Christian to disrespect or mistreat anyone. But it is also wrong for us to stand by while a lie is being pushed on society – causing already-broken people potentially increased harm.

Such people exist.  As you can read here the stats are much higher than many think. Many don't even know that such people exist.  Education will not kill you, but ignorance is deadly.

That's not my point though.   Of course they exist, but it does not remove from the Scientific Fact they still have a Dominate Chromosome that Biologically defines them.

You can have 11 fingers, 2 noses, 3 ears, both reproductive parts and if your 23rd pair of Chromosomes are "XY" dominant, you are a MAN!  "XX" you are a FEMALE!

Their chromosomes are mixed.  It would not kill you to read about this.  Can't understand why you are so disturbed by a simple fact.  Just because you didn't know that this existed is no reason to respond the way you are.  Learning new things is valuable. 

If a baby is born with ovaries on the inside and testicles on the outside it doesn't take a genius to figure out that their chromosomes would be mixed as well.

It's not this occurrence does not happen that interests me, it's why it happens.   Why are some people of a certain region prone to be more prone to Mental Illness, Psychological Disorders, cancer causing cells, the topic at hand, etc...   Some of it can be reasoned by environment, genetic issue, smoking drinking during development, etc...   Typically, this is not a natural course and result.   God made Male and Female, He did not make them to be both.   Man on the other hand have caused its own problems.   Toxins, Chemicals, Natural Resources, many things can come into play here.
