The Psalms 83 war comes first. That war is sometimes called Armegeddon and during that war the countries within the promised land are all destroyed. Those who remain belong to the lord. 5 cities in Egypt will be part of the kingdom and there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria with all dwelling in the land holy.

Gog, along with Ethiopia, Libia and Persia Invade Israel 1000 years after the Psalms 83 war. The countries we know as Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia will not exist but they will be part of Israel. Egypt will e ist but it never fully recovers from the Psalms 83 war and will be to weak to Invade with Ethiopia.

I'm thinking along the same lines as you, the only question I have would be the timing these things are going to occur and in what sequence [i.e. destruction of Damascus, Elam, Syene, Egypt]?

You make some good and interesting points.

Personally, I believe this Ezekiel 38: - 39: invasion is ever so close [Gog - Magog]. Many people including myself, get confused about the two separate and distinct Gog-Magog events. To me it's clear from scripture, the countries mentioned, the alliances and posturing now occurring and the description, the first Gog-Magog invasion is heating up.

The Revelation 20: Gog-Magog involvement, clearly occurs and closes out the millennium period. I've wondered about who this Gog-Magog is myself, a human person wouldn't live that long. I suspect the name "Gog', is possibly a title like King or Leader; and Magog a geographic location.

You make a good observation about the primitive way of fighting in places in Revelation [horses, bows, arrows, swords]. Are these figurative, as John wouldn't know how to explain attack helicopters, tanks, nuclear weapons, smart bombs, etc. Or are some or all of these descriptions literal? In places in Revelation, such as the ability to control all buying and selling, kill those whom reject the mark of the beast, the power of the speaking image of the Beast, etc. The False Prophet commands the image of the Beast be manufactured by men; therefore it appears advanced technology is in play, and that technology with robotics, AI, 5G, computers etc. is already here.

There are still armies including Russia and middle eastern nations that still use horses and animals for war in certain places and situations. I get the impression that in certain times and places in the book of Revelation, they are using primitive old ways fighting battle, why? Could it be communications, electronics, mechanical mobility, electricity has been severed by EMP attacks? What about the laws of psychics and the electromagnetic impulses of the Rapture?

Very interesting to ponder and watch as it is rapidly unfolding.

The weapons are not symbolic of future weapons.

You might notice, that the people who maintain a literal stance, quickly abandon that viewpoint, when it doesn't fit into what they want.

This is a good example of that.

Instead of just accepting that the weapons are just as described, bows and arrows, etc., they try to say that they might be symbolic.

That way they can say that this could be future. "Oh, but it could be," they say.

But the weapons show that it is past.

--------

The Rev 20 Magog war, that surrounds Jerusalem, is the one that is happening now.

-----

I hear people say that the Magog 20 War is a long time away in the future. (1000 yrs+)

But try looking at it this way,

The Rev was given around 85- 96 AD, and the events surrounding the Magog Rev 20 battle were at least 1900 yrs away, the distant future to them.

But now, we are in that future, 1900 years later, and the things that are described as far in the future are now happening in front of us, we are there.

-------

Many will say that it can't happen yet because this or that, hasn't happened yet.

But a closer investigation shows, like the Ezek 38-39 War, many things that are seen by some as future have already past.

Few Christians who follow world events and cultural changes, and know eschatology, would debate we're 'not' living in the end of this age and the Lord's return is drawing near. At no other time in history has there been a convergence of everything prophetic for our age given to us in the Bible. We can know the season of the Lord's return, and we're there.

Is anyone seeing and hearing the same information I am?

Dennis1209,

Where was Magog in Ezekiel's time?

Who would they be in our modern world?

Is the Magog of modern times close to Israel?

Is the Magog nation of modern times able to defeat Israel?

Is the Magog of Rev 20, just Magog alone? Or are there other nations involved and the name "Magog" just symbolic of many nations?

1. Same place it is today, but later on the Greeks called them Scythians. Magog was a grandchild of Noah, son of Japheth [long before Babylon, Daniel and Ezekiel] and migrated to the far North. All the descendants of Magog were called Magogites. Antiquities Of The Jews [1.6.1]

2. I believe it's the land of Russia to include Mongolia.

3. No, Russia is a long way from Israel. Israel's intelligence would detect a large force mobilized and traveling a long way. Thus, their military buildup on Israel's northern border in Syria would give them little to no warning of an impending invasion.

4. The Lord is going to supernaturally destroy this multinational invasion force, so the world knows it was the Lord whom did it. 5/6 of this army is going to be killed.

5. Evidently Magog is the one who again after the millennium [along with Satan] gathers the entire world [four quarters of the earth], to destroy that great city Jerusalem. Satan deceives all the nations. Some think the land of Gog is used symbolically for forces of evil.

Revelation 20:7 (KJV) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

So, Satan has already been or about to be loosed after 1,000 years confinement?

Ezek 38-39,.... Rev 20

What are the similarities between the two scriptures?

What are the differences?

Yes,

He is already loosed.

What is the first thing that the dragon (v.2) does after he is released?

What is it, that he does, that he could not do before his release?

Could you be a little more specific? That could cover a lot of ground.

So we're on the same page; you think Rev. 20:7 is a past event?

OK, I'm starting to see a pattern here. By chance are you a 'preterist'?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
