We see the results of this Destruction and then have to imagine what took place.

My guess is...

Knowing how the religious sects were able to buy off favors, like getting Christ to Pilot to be judged before the Crucifixion.  I believe we can also see the same pattern towards the Apostles when the Gospel began exploding in the days of [Acts].   The Gospel being preached by others, the miracles taking place everywhere, the boldness of Peter and the others, Jews converting from the Law to Christ, and this is {after} their attempts and success of killing Yeshua, burying Him, being done away with His teachings/miracles/thinking.

I would imagine for the Romans, overlooking a very divided Jerusalem, (and what Christ had accomplished was now happening 12 fold with Paul involved + converts), no doubt the Pharisees and company were complaining to the Governor like they did about Christ, it was the easiest fix by going into the heart of the matter, diffusing the war between Jews, destroying the Temple [misunderstanding Christ was no part of this Temple] thinking they would solve the Yiddish Religion Problem.

As a result of that tragic event, the Gospel today has reached basically every known soul with few exceptions here and there.

The Brilliancy of God and Him allowing His People to take such a fall in order to "spread" the [Gospel].   I would say Judgement is nasty when you're not just defeated, but become the {Spark} that set off what you spent your last days trying to keep hidden in secret.

Both Josephus and Tacitus wrote extensively about leading up to the seige and the destruction of Jerusalem. It was over the top devastating in so many ways. The Jews within the walls were responsible for more deaths that the Romans.

Jerusalem had been a world wonder and the temple unrivaled, but its people were wicked and killed the Son of God, when He would have gathered them in.

That destruction served to essentially sunder Christianity from Judaism and that was essential for the sake of the integrity of the Gospel.

IMO

Mostly based on the fact the Gospel is designed to be spread all over the known world.   What better event than the Destruction of both Jerusalem and the Temple to get people scattered.   As result, God's WORD is scattered to every part.   That makes the 70 A.D. event spiritually biased towards spreading the Gospel of Christ only, not the fulfillment of prophecy covering [like in the days of Noah] where it's a global event.

Again, I agree. Along with the easy understanding of simple language contained in the Gospels both relevant and contextual for all generations.

Knowing 70 A.D. was all about the igniting send off of the Gospel unto the World, proves preterism is incorrect.   They set off their position of John, the Revelator, to include these events, when John was aligning up with Matthew 24.   No doubt in 105 A.D. while John was serving in the Role of Bishop for the Church of Ephesus, John knew the 70 A.D. event was about the Gospel arising from the shadows of the Temple.   He was still seeing 35 years later the Gospel of Christ flourishing.   He first hand witnessed what God was doing and how connected the Church Body was.   He knew the words he wrote while at Patmos were about a Generation where people were greater in number, the world had completely changed from him in terms of modernizing, what he writes in some areas we easily align with physical objects of modern day like flying birds with fire could mean an air force at its finest.

I am persuaded in my belief that 70 A.D. was about the Gospel being fully [Birthed].

It was never about "Tribulation and the majority of Matthew 24."

You and Darby will be flying through the air as Spirit men at the same time, and Darby will be like, "I got that from Paul by the way, its called the Harpazo, and in the Latin Vulgate the Rapio, and finally in the English, its called the Catching away. So, I can't take credit for Paul's work"

Possibly. One wonders when that will happen.

But, did it all begin with Darby or many centuries earlier? Was that part of the false storyline Paul was refuting in 2 Thess 2?

Or for sure removing any desperate clutching at a religion by destroying the fundamental icon of that religion, paving the way for Supreme Ascendancy of the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Amen, the Reasons are clear for why 70 A.D. had to happen.   The killing of 2 birds with one stone has been presented brilliantly by God.   And none of it has to do with fulfilling the 70th Week!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
