I agree,  when we delight ourselves in the Lord, he grants us the desire of our hearts

Psalm 37:

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.

And as Jesus said

Matthew 6:  33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you

When we walk in faith. we are walking in the will of God and then God performs his will. Including bringing us to victory

Yes, and as we walk in that victory, is the mystery of Godliness revealed...  Be blessed in that mystery...

Amen and amen.. calling those things that be not as thought they were. And Christ said I have over come the world "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” .. I agree :)

Why it reminded me of just the other day buying some coffee and the girl asked about what I been up to and going to do and I shared yet that night I told the lord how sorry I was.. I never once shared Jesus.. the joy the VICTORY in my life. I believe those moments are not by chance :) I Know He does not need us .. He uses us. Its no guilt no shame no condemnation yet..  :(

Thank you so much...still don't know why I remember it by reading your post.. very glad I did..thank you Father..

Do you all genuinely believe what you have posted and the relevant scriptures?

Tell me, if you would, what specific victory has your victorious life accomplished today?

Big or small, for the sake of the conversation size does not matter. And, please, no unnecessary defensiveness. An answer of, "None," or "Josh, that's a great question but I'm not sure I can put my finger on such a thing specifically for today," as long as the answer is genuine and honest.

As per scripture, one is to judge by the Christ they see in one, not by the word, but the power..

Be blessed as the Spirit of Christ bears witness, or not...

I ate today, I had clothes to wear today, my business succeeded today, my family is healthy and taken care of, I am well, I am at peace, I was not hit by a drunken driver today or caught in the crossfire of a drive by shooting. Should he tarry, I will have a warm comfy bed to sleep in tonight

Never miss the miracles and victories of life simply because they are not stupendous, sometimes they are very small, but they keep us, and He keeps us.

Try to appreciate what God has done for you today

Lamentations 4:

Remember my affliction and roaming,
The wormwood and the [g]gall.
20 My soul still remembers
And sinks within me.
21 This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”

I am dead and my life is hid with Christ in God; therefore, I die to self daily and have picked up my cross (which means death) and am following Him daily - not carnally but spiritually. I live with the certainty that Jesus Christ died for me and that I am in Him and He is in me, and that He has given me eternal life. Nothing I can ever do, or fail to do, can ever separate me from Him. It is finished for me, and I am sealed. So while the world lives with uncertainty, with conditionalism, and with having to do works all the time, I have entered rest. I pick up my cross and follow Him daily by dying to self - that is, by resting in Him, resting in the testimony of the Holy Spirit which tells me personally that I am sealed and have been given eternal life as an irrevocable gift. But the rest of the religious world tries every day to get to heaven by their own works of the flesh; they are building the Tower of Babel and attempting to ascend to heaven by their own efforts.

Did you read the op, Don? Were the first two or three replies to the op read?

I read a small group of Christians - men and women I believe are genuine, sincere, earnest believers in Jesus as both Lord and Savior - talking about the victory God has done in their lives and how that victory of faith begets a victorious life. One poster expressed the sentiment that having been brought to victory through faith..... victory is a product of growth so much so that this faith "sees one victory after another." I read another poster say walking in the will of God brings us to His will and those who have the victor of faith are brought to victory - those already in victory are brought to victory. It is said mysteries are revealed. Another relates this to God using us without guilt or shame and the furtherance of faith's victory in others.

Did you read that too?

Sounds wonderful, yes? I read through the posts and I wondered is what has been posted substantive. I'm not questioning anyone's authenticity. I am not calling anyone's authenticity into doubt. I simply wonder about its substance. So I ask, "Do you all genuinely believe what you've posted?" I assume the answer is, "Yes," because everyone here knows we're going to have a much different conversation if anyone acknowledges doubt (or falsehood or deception). So the next questions follows:

What has God done for you today in victory?

What victory in His service have you witnessed this day?

Are these not valid inquiries, intrinsically relevant to the op on their own?

I have asked my fellow posters a couple of questions I think warranted. I have others. And I'll get around to asking them about their answers relevant to what I've now posted. Here are my questions to you: What does your post have to do with this op and my specific inquiries thereof? I don't read any actual answers to the specific questions actually asked. I read my handle cited and my question quoted but I don't read an actual answer to the question asked. What am I missing? What is it you're trying to tell me in answer to my question?

Folks, for subsequent victory resulting from the already existing victory of faith we all possess to be seen in this discussion would be a wonderful thing.

I was talking about overcoming the world, which pertains to the Scripture the OP cited. I don't measure this the way the world does. The life of Christ is a life of victory. Every day is a victory. And we overcome the world by walking in Christ the same way we received Him. I might not have a "specific victory" this day, as the world would see it. Maybe it was an unremarkable day, in worldly terms. The point is, Jesus said we are to take up our cross daily and follow Him. There's the carnal way of interpreting this saying, which I assume is easily accessible to the carnal mind (basically, doing works of the flesh) and then there's a spiritual way (seeing that the cross signifies death and means we are dead to self, dead to sin, crucified with Christ, and sealed with the Spirit). The latter--that is, spiritually--is how we take up our cross daily and follow Him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
