Awaiting your answer to my question.

Ah that one. Angel on a pin head? Sorry. I do not have a really good answer to that old question.

"" How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? " Whether in jest or seriousness, the question is thought to be based on what Thomas Aquinas wrote in his Summa Theologica, (circa 1270 AD). In it he proposed several questions about angels, such as " Can several angels be in the same place?""

I would hazard one guess at a fair answer: "Any fool may ask a questions that a wise man cannot answer".

you almost throw everything down the drain with your mocking question.

Did you have to get educated to learn mocking?

But I have to comment you for bringing Zeus into the discussion, because Paul knew that he was preaching the Gospel to followers of Zeus and wrote a lot of things as a guidance to those who were once followers of the Olympic God Zeus.

What was the catch that made the Zeus followers to leave him for Jesus Christ?

I presume that you do not have the answer to that.

Can you put some value behind those claims "this world is doomed," "judgment is at the door." "This world will burn. "

Yes it is called Bible prophecy and us being in the last of last days. Time is running out for everybody.

Malachi 4:1  “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2  But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
3  And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts.

Psalm 21:9  You will make them as a blazing oven when you appear. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath, and fire will consume them.
10  You will destroy their descendants from the earth, and their offspring from among the children of man.

Nahum 1:5  The mountains quake before him; the hills melt; the earth heaves before him, the world and all who dwell in it.
6  Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken into pieces by him.

How do you come by 40k?..thank you

Before Adam (Genesis 2) God created other human beings (Genesis 1).

There is a great deal of evidence in archaeology and anthropology to indicate 40,000 is the history of "modern" human beings.

So the first peoples of creation were hunters and gatherers and of different racial types. Thus the diversity of humankind is not a story of evolution.

Waggles, you are really starting to scare me! What in God's WORD in Genesis can possibly be interpreted there was anything before He made everything?

As Dr Michael Heiser teaches learn from reading scripture rather than reading into scripture your beliefs.

You should not be scared of me as I am not alone in the knowledge of their being pre-Adamic people; for you cannot derive the diversity of the human races from supposedly two adults alone nor do we want to entertain notions of evolution.

You see literal fire, this is your problem.

John the Baptist did not talk about literal fire.

It comes from the idea that Gen 1-3 is a possible slight translational error or mismatch. It was a 'theological' translation really.

The Hebrew basically says, "beginning God created heavens earth", He then did stuff in Gen 3. Verses One and two are maybe intros. However, there is no substantiation to the 'many peoples' idea or the 'gap theory'. That does NOT hold water. The Hebrew idioms are without 'the' pronouns or the vowels, so it is very difficult to parse. One 'might' extrapolate all kinds of things to the unnecessary, but taking it to those extremes is incorrect.

Wait a minute.... I am not the one who is reading into Scripture what God did not include.... I believe that might just be you doing that....

Forget Heiser, I would simply ask you to read what God wrote through Moses in Genesis 1... He is quite clear and does not need Heiser to add to or correct HIM>

So, would you please tell me what in Genesis is causing you to have this pre-adamic interpretation?

Thanks, Charlie

We digress from the OP - I suggest if others want to chat about Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 then that should be a new thread.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
