I totally understand, I have lost loved ones, so what do we do with all the healing scripture?

It is my belief that we stand strong in our faith believing God does still heal, believing in the scriptures, I pray believing that he can and still does heal, but if God does not heal, I trust and believe he is faithful and my loved ones are in his loving arms

Is your belief based on scripture? What scripture could you give to those without hope?

What about those who don't get healed? They must not belong to the Lord? What about children at shriners hospital and st jude's hospital? These kids who don't get miraculous healing don't belong to God? Where is their hope if they don't belong to Jesus? If they do belong why are they not healed?

It is about to what degree do people both believe in the promises of God and conform to the word of God.

So as a practicing Roman Catholic I was in a church that had some rare instances of miraculous healings (very far and few between) and where I live in a German Lutheran rural community out of 5,000 church goers there is only one testimony to a woman being healed by faith and prayer.

But when I repented and was converted by the full gospel of salvation and became a Pentecostal Christian I immediately enjoyed numerous miracles and was even able to pray for those outside of my church and they also received miracles and healings.

1: there is a right way according to the word of God. One that truly demonstrates the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit as we read of in Acts and the epistles: the kingdom of God is of the Holy Spirit and power.

2: These signs shall follow them that believe > believing the word and the promises of God. Expect a miracle everyday we sing. We walk by faith and not in denial of the word of God. No red biros crossing out unwanted verses. Jesus healed. The apostles healed. Disciples healed. We do likewise.

3: Worldly Christians who do not believe in healings and miracles and censor the word of God are not likely to receive healings and miracles because it is not part of their faith and doctrine.

4: Worldly Christians do belong to God, but unfortunately limit their relationship with and benefits from God by following the teachings of men who founded their denominations.

Why would they be without hope?

Fanny Crosby the great hymn writer was blind from birth and died blind. But she rejoiced in her salvation and said that when she gained her eyesight in the afterlife the first person she would see in her life would be Jesus.

Do all have the gift of healing? No. So your answer is that those children at st Jude and shriners is that they are worldly?

Whyme, your original topic centers on Isaiah 53 and whether it concerns a physical or spiritual healing.....

I have responded earlier in that, for me, it speaks loudly of a spiritual saving - where the Messiah will come and be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

I am not sure what your opinion is on Isaiah 53... and how one who may have been given certain "gifts" by God are in concert with one another....

For you, are these two separate issues? Sorry for not putting this together.....

Is Isaiah 53 a separate question from "gifts"?

Do you question "gifts" because some are healed and some are not?

Thanks, Charlie

Someone mentioned signs of healing and I said not all have that gift.

Ok, I understand..... have you read JOB? I would recommend it ...... You are NO different than a gazillion people in that we can not understand how a loving God could allow all these horrible things to happen in the world. And to your point specifically, if this same God told us He will give us a number of "Gifts", and one of those gifts is one of healing, why can't at least one of us on this planet heal all or some or whatever a number of all these diseases, cancer, etc.

This just happens to be just a little short of my pay grade so this is why I recommended the Book of Job......

Something that will NOT make you or anyone feel better, ESPECIALLY if you or one of your loved ones is involved in these horrible type of illnesses, but somewhere in the Scriptures (maybe Paul) tells us that there is absolutely nothing on this side of Heaven that we would not want to accept and go through (no matter how horrific and painful this thing is) when compared to the glory of being with Him in Heaven....

It is extremely difficult and maybe even impossible to imagine how anyone on this side could really understand and accept this ...... but God does not make mistakes and has a perfect reason for everything.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, Charlie

This is prophecy of what was to come after Golgotha and Jesus being glorified in heaven > the outpouring of the Holy Spirit > gifts of the Holy Spirit for the benefit and comfort of the Spirit-filled church > these signs shall follow them that believe the gospel.

Prophecy concerning that we shall be healed spiritually, emotionally and bodily according to our faith and the will of God working within us (and others).

Thus we have the salvation of our souls along with people being healed from depression or anxiety; violence, witchcraft, drug addiction, diseases and ailments.

I think you might have  1 Co 2:4 scripture out of context. Paul is talking about himself an apostle. We are not apostles.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
