If you don't know about AI (super intelligence) and the man behind it. You might want to start reading about him and his ambitions. He is way ahead of the rest of the world in technology. He is splatered all over U-Tube. He is now working on melding the human brain with AI. Sounds outrages, but it is true. He is heading up Space X that will make the first space ship that will take astronauts to Mars. He is young and nice looking like the nicest man you would want to meet. The eyes of the world will be on Him. Listed as being the wealthiest man in the world or at least of them. Or you could google about him. Just use AI

I have been following this guy for some time.  While we don't yet have implants available to the masses, I remember reading articles about projected goals in smart phone technology where there is a move to put access to the information you get from your smart phone into your actual brain somehow. This might sound very far fetched (and it admittedly is) as something that could actually happen. Similar to the way doctors ask parents if they want to have their child circumcised, the doc would also have a provision for "the implant" which would be fast and efficiently done. I know, I know...sounds much too sci fi and impossible to most people but these are some of the ideas on the table. If you want my source I'll have to look for it as I didn't save the article. I also realize ideas and imagination can possibly be only that, however reading your post reminded me of reading it.

AI is a term used to talk about certain computer algorithms. There is no real 'artificial intelligence'.

It's all just if/else statements and 1's and 0's. No real thinking at all. Just info stored in a database that is then referenced based on different if/else calculations.

AI is an oxymoron. People spin these yarns, but as I posted elsewhere, I have yet to come across an intelligent machine. I have been troubleshooting controls and automation for over 50 years. Nothing clever yet...

737 Max pilot: Ok let's go up now.   737 Max software: NAA, let's go down instead - BOOM.

We might be in a similar line of work as I do very similar. I don't do as much repair these days I mostly flag issues for others to repair. I don't work with flight automation I work with hive building automation. Might seem like a simple thing. It really isn't since there are literally thousands of points all controlled from one server running autonomous modules in multiple buildings all doing multiple things at once. Add local and global control with trending and an automated geothermal system that covers miles. Huge pumps to circulate the water, Lots of redundancy built in to the systems. If we loose a server everything keeps working you just don't see it. The server is redundant. The systems I manage cover literally miles. There's often a small fire to put out here or there. Very seldom anything major. We monitor the power feeds as well and can trend them. There are multiple feeds for power that automatically switch if needed. Given all of that complexity one might think there are lots of problems. There aren't other than the common expected periodic repairs.

The problem with the 737 MAX was human error not computer error.

I don't really see AI as taking over for humans. I see it as an access point people can tap into for information. We see this now with Alexa and Siri. They are getting more and more intelligent over time. Alexa is learning answers and responses to questions every day. She already knows more data than the smartest human alive. I use Google for voice recognition to dial phone numbers and find locations I need to go to. I never take my eyes off the road. All done verbally. So I see this as "artificial intelligence" it figures out what you are looking for and gives you the answer.

I see possibly some kind of a more powerful system in the future that can understand even complex human communication and offer solutions. Eon Musk's Tesla cars have a self driving feather hands free. There have been a few issues with it. Give it time. I'll bet they perfect it. It's 99% there now. I think the main solution is redundancy in case of failure.

At some point in the future I see men tapping into information by merely thinking about it. If a certain part of your brain thinks 'weather' a display will pop up giving you the weather. The Raptor supposedly has AI built into the helments of pilots. Not sure what the interface is, if it tracks eye/head movements? It is said when the pilot looks down they see as if there is no jet between them and the ground. Probably using cameras ported to the helment. I have mixing software that looks at my head and determines where I am in an artificial sound space. Tracks my head movements.

What if we could track brain thoughts? I think in some labs they already have done it.

Just so you know. If they come out with a brain implant I'm not getting one ;)

No I don't need a replacement brain either.

We did the controls on the Chester Co-gen plant all with redundant instant switchable processors etc. One day that thing was spinning at 10k revs and we needed to make a slight change to a feed rate of the raw materials to the steam plant. Well, we could not get into it because the operators had been playing games on the HMI pc. What a palava, and what a disaster could have happened.

"The original design of a smoothing software for the 737 MAX flight control system was badly implemented.

It’s not the changes to the 737 MAX base aircraft that makes it unsafe, such as larger engines, it was an unusually sloppy implementation of the smoothing software, called MCAS, that was flawed.

MCAS is now properly implemented and tested. This returns the 737 to the safe aircraft it was before MCAS was implemented."

"The problem with the 737 MAX was a flight control smoothing system, the Maneuvering Characteristic Augmentation Systems (MCAS), had an uncharacteristically sloppy design, making it outright dangerous."

"The inadequate analysis of the design of the system and its safety made it outright dangerous, capable of overwhelming even experienced flight crews, as demonstrated after the crashes in Boeing’s simulators where US airline 737 flight crews had problems with a malfunctioning MCAS, despite knowing what to expect."

A similar thing happened on the cross-wind landing dampening system. The pilot was not able to make more than fine adjustments due to ground proximity sensors. So the aircraft's wings touched the tarmac. After a lengthy investigation the NTSB exonerated the pilots.

AI is being implemented in many different industries. In the mineral exploration area, AI is being used to sift through the typically massive geochemical and geophysical databases we produce over the course of a project.

I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree.   Shelly

The point being, no one can replicate what God has made.

Can you imagine a paper thin solar collector that can fit in the palm of your hand has the ability to split carbon dioxide into carbon used in building products and food while releasing the oxygen back into the air so we have something to breathe?  We call it...a leaf

Man can not replicate that...or the complexity of the human mind. He can only create a program a difference engine that would approximate it,

Anything that is of the imagination maybe science fiction today but tomorrow it will be science fact. Its just how it is . Todays absurd is tomorrows reality .The question is how far will God let it go?

Indeed. Before I switched majors in college, I pursued Computer Science. We coded chatbots for an assignment in the Intro to Java course, an illuminating look at the Turing test. An elementary chatbot can deceive a user into believing they are dealing with another human.

I spiced my chatbot up by using RNG to supply seemingly spontaneous responses if user input fell outside of instructor-mandated parameters. For example, "This is boring. Let's talk about your childhood."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
