God has his own timing gentlemen, and He decides through the Holy Spirit when your calling is at hand, that way you can take "no credit" for any part of your calling or salvation.

Ephesians 2:8 underscores this, "By grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. it is the GIFT OF GOD."

Our place is to respond to God, not create the situation which is only Gods to do, and He is the only one capable of doing.

You and everyone here knows that God wants all men to be saved and calls all men to His truth, but as it says in 2 Timothy 3:7, "they will always be learning but never come to the knowledge of GODS TRUTH" - like MANY of you.

2 Timothy 3:5 says, "Having a form of Godliness, they deny it's power." Like MANY of you.

Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but it's end is the way of death - Like MANY of you.

2 Thessalonians :10-12, "They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved." - Like MANY of you.

FINALLY - If you don't believe "LIKE MANY OF YOU" read Matthew 7:13-14 & 21.

I know nothing of Calvinism or any other "ISMS" of teaching.

I know only Christ and Him crucified, and the truth of His word and none others, for there is no truth in anyone but Christ.

Hello Rw, I have been thinking a lot about how we approach what Jesus said to his disciples.  

***John 6:44

No one can come to me unless the Father draws them to me. 

** that time Jesus was Jesus. 

He was not the same as he is today, or since the day of Penticost.  

That time he was without the Paracletous. 

In John 16 and 17 Jesus talked about himself how he was without the Paracletous and he said to his disciples that He and them and us we need the Paracletous. 

Jesus said without the Paracletous I will have to stay with you and how good can I be to you? 

I cannot be with all of you at the same time when you are scatter, but with the Paracletous I can.

Not for me it wasn’t, God drew me to Jesus and I was born again, he testified to my spirit that I am his child.

my response was an open heart that was opened by God to receive automatically his Holy Spirit.

I now belong to him, he is in complete control of my life, and has been for 30 yrs.

You can’t limit how God saves his children.

God saves his way, not our way....his ways are much higher than our ways so are his thoughts much higher than ours.

i can show you scripture on how the wind blows but you don’t know where it’s coming from, etc.

And what has Calvin got to do with it?

i have been accused of being a Calvinist, who I’d never heard of ?
