Once you read the whole Bible, start again. Or try a different translation. The Bible should be part of your daily or weekly life. No physical training program will work or continue to give you the benefit if you don't stick with it regularly. No diet plan will yield results unless you stick with it, with discipline. In the same way, if you study the Word of God with regular diligence only then will it change you, as it soaks into your heart. Even so, you don't then just drop it but stay with it to yield results. If you do this, you will change for the better as the Word will change you, providing you remain humble before it. But, if you quit it or leave it for long periods, it is like stopping a physical fitness routine and you'll become out of shape and in poor health. So pick up that Bible or a good audio Bible and get stuck in to a regular reading/study practice! May Yahweh bless you in your endeavour. You read it, listen to expository sermons ( where the preacher takes a passage and looks at what that passage means to the writer, his listens, to readers down the centuries, what it means to us today and then applies it practically to us today.) Challenge your minister he should be doing this regularly, if he isn't move. Read commentaries and apologetic web sites and read books on theology. You would be surprised what just 10-15 minutes can accomplish in this regard. Might I suggest the "Look at the Book" section of videos on the Desiring God youtube channel? Each video is 10-15 minutes long and it is a huge blessing to me. Memorization is also important. I use BibleMemory dot com. Again, just 10-15 minutes a day and before you know it, you will see changes and be better prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. For me personally,I never understood the bible ,in fact I never read it, not until I became born again, received the Holy Spirit into my heart/ spirit......only then did the bible mean anything to my heart... That is God’s word to his children, he will testify it to your spirit, that you are his child...only then did the bible come alive to me..the Holy Spirit leads me through scripture to understand it.reason being, I am his child, we now belong to him... It is better to know 1 scripture with understanding, then 10,000 without The Holy Spirit has been given to us, for just that purpose John 14:John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
