Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

I keep telling myself: "My suffering is nothing compared to the suffering of Jesus Christ."

But please, with all due respect, let us not focus on showing mercy to one another, which seems to be a tactic to stir up disputes and close interesting topics here. This is clearly not a topic about works. Mercy will be shown if someone gets something out of this topic and understands it instead of closing it. We talk about the Word of God, and these are not topics about walks in the park, but about eternal life or eternal damnation.

So, back to the topic, I think it is worthwhile to give an explanation of the parable of the workers in the vineyard here, because some people mistakenly think that there are many vineyards of the Lord and that it is our duty to plant them.

And from this parable it follows that the vineyard is one and the same payment for the work regardless of its length. To think otherwise is to do your own righteousness.

I'm not closing it. I don't understand how this became about works. I'll need to go back and read

No one answeted my question about the definition of fruot. Not going to argue. I guess this topic is a waste of time. My appolgies for wasting your time.

I believe the “fruit” here is the harvest.  Since the subject of this parable is sowing seeds, the fruit of sowing these seeds (the Word of God) will bring forth “fruit” for the harvest of souls.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it,

Do you understand that good works HAVE NO saving merit, but are the result of being born again? They are only like the characteristics of the fruit from the grain.

Did you read to the end of what I said the last thing I said was:

Again works (bearing fruit) are the natural result of being saved.  We are not saved by them, we are saved to them, and if we are not doing good works, bearing good fruit, then we need to check our faith because it is probably dead.

Indeed. I did not comment, so as not to deviate too much from the topic.

I think this sower knew that his seeds would grow into the same kind that he sowed. After all, he has sown wherever he goes. Of course he realized that the seed must die first. What do you think?

Well not all the seed will grow, in the parable only 25% does, but if that 25% gives you a 300%, 600% or 1000% payback  then its all worth it.

As far as the seed dying....

John12: 23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much [a]grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

I will have to think on that, for the seed, in this parable is the Word, Jesus is the Word....and we are to follow his lead. WE are not the word, but we are the seed grown from the word and replanted

I once heard a prosperity preacher teach that the parable of the sower teaches us to sow in good ground, and his ministry was good ground to sow financial seeds into. This isnt what the parable means though, in my opinion. I dont put much trust in preachers but the word gets sown in my heart by the scriptures.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
