Fellowship, does it help us overcome sin?

Does fellowship help us overcome sin in our lives? And, does online fellowship help us to do this? Sorry folks, i know i post a lot of threads, but this has been on my mind and i want input. Thank you.

We need fellowship to grow, and to practice all the "one anothers" in the New Testament. You cannot comfort, meet needs for, etc. for someone else if you are not present to help or provide those things in the verses I quoted. Comforting someone means face to face interaction in most cases, though there are some exceptions. There are no "lone ranger" Christians in the body of Christ.

Having someone to be accountable to helps, you can find this in fellowship. But fellowship offers so much more. Freindship, corporate worship, all kinds of thing, I would separate myself from that if I had a choice

Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

I am sort of bashful, so I don't hang around after church for fellowship. Maybe I should. But I get a lot of fellowship when I spend half of each Monday doing maintenance work at my church, and more fellowship at choir practice each week, and even a little fellowship just attending services on Sundays. I think fellowship is probably an important ingredient in overcoming sin.

yes...as long as its fellowship with other strong believers, and theyre willing to hold each other accountable. Can online fellowship play a part in it? yes absolutly, but it CANNOT replace real, in person fellowship, and if you try, it will do more harm then good.

Call me the lone ranger i guess, but im not alone, i mentioned online fellowship. How do you know this lone ranger thing is all bad? Have you tried it?
