It appears that you believe man has the power to suppress the word of God. I believe that if God has something to say to an individual, He will see to it that the Holy Spirit comes through, regardless of the translation. :whistling:

Hi Gerioke, man cannot suppress the true words of God and that is why there are so many King James Bible believers all over the world. However, man does have the power to pervert the words of God and pass them off as "reliable versions", none of which are believed to be the inerrant words of God, even by those who promote them.

"for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God." Jeremiah 23:26

Let me ask you a rather simple theological question, if you don't mind. Who is in control of the world, God or Satan? Is God the Ruler of this world, or is Satan? Is the whole world under the control of the Evil One, or Almighty God?

If you know The Holy Bible and believe it, then this question should not be too hard for you to answer.

I am a Bible believer in the sense that I really believe God has kept His promises to preserve His inerrant words in a Book here on this earth. I firmly believe that Book to be the King James Holy Bible. Those who embrace or promote multiple-choice bible versions that differ from each other in their underlying Hebrew and Greek texts by literally anywhere from 3000 to 5000 words, and that have totally different meanings in hundreds of verses, are not Bible believers. They are "partial Bible believers", or "Biblical Relativists" There is no Absolute Final Written Standard to which they submit. They like that part of that bible version, and this part of this other bible version, but they don't really believe any of them are 100% right and true all the time. If there is a conflict between two different texts or meanings, then they decide for themselves which one they will believe and which one they will reject. This makes they themselves the final authority. Big problem is, no two of them will totally agree with everybody else on which parts they think are true and which parts are less than true or "spurious additions".

Now, admittedly, even if everyone were a King James Bible believer, this would not in itself assure that everybody would see every doctrine in the same way, (we wouldn't) but we would at least have the same Standard by which all things are judged. The Bible is a spiritual book and none of us has all light and understanding. We all still see through a glass darkly, but we do have the same standard of absolute truth- the inerrant, inspired and 100% always true King James Holy Bible. We do not have the very serious problem of trying to decide if God inspired a particular verse or not (and there are many, not just 5 or 6 of them).

The proof that all modern bible versions are false bibles is the fact that they all contain false doctrines to one degree or another. The tree is known by its fruit.

So, this is in part why I ask you the question I did. Who is in control of this world, God or Satan?

Could you please answer this in a few words, if possible? Or, if you like, you can write a whole article about it. I don't mind reading something of length if it is interesting and has to do with God's pure words.

God bless,

Will K

Hi Yomo, No, apparently God has not yet shown you the truth of where His inerrant words are found today, but there is still hope. I haven't given up on you yet:-)

By the way, just to lighten things up a bit, I have two jokes about the Bible version issue. You may not like the first one, but I think it is kinda funny, and the second one is all too familiar. No malice intended here, just some good humor.

Will

Bible Version Joke

There were three modern version proponents (MVPs) who were always arguing with a King James Bible believer (KJBb), but the KJBb could never convince the MVPs; it was always three against one. One day they were all walking together along a country road, and as usual, the topic turned to the Bible version issue.

The KJBb was getting pretty frustrated, because no matter what arguments and examples he brought up, it was still three against one, and he just couldn't seem to win any of them over to his side.

So he silently prayed and asked God to give them all a sign, so they could see that he was right. Suddenly, a dark cloud appeared, the wind blew and lightning flashed. The KJBb said: "Did you see that! See, God is telling you all that the KJB is the true word of God."

"No", the MVPs said, "that's just a little storm, nothing unusual about that." It was still three against one. So the KJBb silently asked God to give a bigger sign. A few minutes later, again the dark clouds, the wind, and this time the lightning flashed and hit a nearby tree which exploded and fell over.

"See" said the KJB believer, "God is giving us a sign that the KJB is right, and you are wrong." "No, that's just another storm, nothing more" answered the MVPs. It remained three against one.

The KJB believer was about to ask God to show a really, really big sign when suddenly there was a booming voice from heaven which said: "The King James Bible is really My true words."

The KJBb was very thankful for this clear testimony from heaven. So he turned to the MVPs and asked: "So what do you think now?". "Well", said one of the MVPs, "now it's three against two."

Jack and Jill

Modern Exegesis of Jack and Jill

(From Atscft. Fur Alg. Bibifshng.)

Verse 1: "Jack and Jill went up the hill, to fetch a pail of

water."

The word "and" presents some difficulties, which are

not apparent to the casual reader. There is considerable

doubt in the minds of most scholars as to whether Jack was

accompanied by Jill, in the sense that the phrase is intended

to record an actual historical event.

In the setting out upon this expedition, which was

apparently undertaken for a specific purpose, or, at least,

with some definite object in mind, it seems likely that Jack

was stimulated to undertake this mission by a basic need for

water. Since most functions in the home involving water, such

as cooking, washing clothes, scrubbing floors, etc., are

normally undertaken by the distaff side, it is widely held that

the force of the "and" in this context probably means that

Jack set out with a strong picture image of Jill in his mind,

and several existentialist scholars also insist that her parting

words were undoubtedly ringing in his ears.

Grosskopf, in his monumental essay entitled,

JackmitJilldamortarung," takes a contrary view. He states

the passage considerably earlier than is generally believed

(somewhere between 404 B.C. and the 19th amendment.) On

this basis he maintains that the hewing of wood and the

drawing of water were exclusively carried on by women

during this period, and that the words, "Jack and" are a gloss

by some later copyist and did not appear in the original

manuscript.

"Went up the hill" is obviously allegorical. The

ancients, although probably ignorant of Otis' First Law of

Evaluation ("What goes up must come down."), were well

aware of the transfer of water by artificial means normally

involves transportation from an inferior to a superior

position. (E.g. The Old Oaken Bucket, Down by the Old Mill

Stream, etc.). Professor Gard de I'Eau, the hydrographer and

mystic, suggests that this ana basis symbolizes man's struggle

to rise nearer to ultimate unity with the cosmic. The water, he

continues, has precisely the same symbolism as the crossing of

the Red Sea, the Jordan, Lindburgh's trip across the Atlantic,

and the landing on Omaha Beach in World War II with

which everyone is familiar.

"Fetch" in the original was probably "carry." This

transportation of meanings ( ) indicates that editorial

alteration of the text during the Irrational Period. As H.O.

Cuspocus, Professor of Tautology at the university of

Balogna, states "La Donna a mobile, qual piuma la Viants."

In other words, "Iffa da water she's atta da bottom of da hill,

she wanna da water atta da top." This, we submit, is a

conclusive argument.

Great care must be exercised in the interpretation of

the word "pail." Some authorities on Celtic history maintain

that there is an allusion here to the twelfth century "pale."

This is borne out by the disastrous ending of the periscope

("Jack fell down and broke his crown . . ." et seq.) "Beyond

the Pale -- chaos" writes Sean O'Gobragh in the only part of

his commentary, which has thus far been translated from

Gaelic.

(N.B. - Of course, it is to be remembered that the

infallibility claimed for this passage does not apply to the text,

but to the truth contained therein.) Now, for verse 2 . . .

God is obviously in control of the world by the fact that it hasn't been destroyed. God did give satan some license to cause destruction. My point is that if God wants to speak to a believer , He can do it through any translation He chooses. :emot-questioned:

By your way of thinking, there would be a large group of people who think they are christians but have never read the Word.

So I will give you a rasberry on this one. :noidea:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
