I have been away for a month, I visited the topic of Calvinism

ready to post and found it to be closed, so my question is why is it pinned if we cant post?

The following is from the terms of services (tos) and the list of violations are the reasons for threads getting locked or deleted altogether.  People in general speaking often in certain topics can get quite passionate in their beliefs and disagreements turn into heated arguments in which people find themselves unable to further discuss the topic without becoming angry.  This often leads to insults hurled back and forth in an attempt to force the opposing views to change or "get back" at the other for a perceived insult.

By pinning the topic at the top of the forum list, it makes it easier for new members to read the discussion and come to conclusions on their own without the need to start another thread on the same.

Debate the subject, not the person. It is possible to disagree about a doctrine or subject under discussion without insulting the person with whom you are debating. Also remember that the fact that a person disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you as a person. Respect each other in the love of God! This is the main reason that threads get stopped, shut down, and even deleted!  We also reserve the right to remove any member from any thread for any of these violations.

The subject has come up at least once a year, goes on forever without resolution, and usually causes division, bad feelings, wounds and personal attacks.  That is why it gets closed down.  People can't just debate the subject.  It is satan who causes division in marriages, homes, churches and among Christians who are one in the body of Christ.

My advice is to read the list of Scriptures that Omega pinned.  There were scriptures both for and against eternal security.  Ask God to enlighten you and help you to understand.  Both have to be true since both are in the Bible.  Dismiss any ideas that can't be clearly supported by Scripture.

Do the same with other points of Calvinism.  List Scriptures both for and against a subject, then pray and ask God to show you how they harmonize or how both can be True.
