Now, I'm not one of those "Chicken little types", that runs around screaming the world is ending, and I don't stand on a street corner with a banner that proclaims the "end is coming."

BUT, at my age, nearly 80, and what I experience now as opposed to what I grew up with beginning in the 40's, there has been a "gigantic radical change" in nearly every aspect of our culture. Even the weather is changing radically, and so is our home, the earth, changing radically.

Everything on this earth has an expiration date, and so does the earth. Like all of us, and everything on earth, the earth is starting to disintigrate slowly. Giant weather changes and polar regions melting at unprecidented rates.

Like all of us, it's days are numbered. The world calls it "global warming", but God calls all what is happening "Warnings" of what's to come.

I live in Oregon and the weather has been changing here slowly for years. But this year the weather went "ballistic", and there is more to come.

During this last winter, we had drastic icy cold weather like we hadn't seen in over 40 years, and then this last weekend we had the hottest weather ever recorded in Oregon - EVER!

Imagine parts of Oregon being 119 degrees, while Portland was 115 degrees.

The weather people were calling it "EPIC.", and the heatwave we're expecting they called "EPIC" also - Unprecidented !!

To me, God is moving in more dramatic ways as a warning that the time is getting shorter, and Christs return is getting closer.

If you watch the news you have probably seen Portland and all the downtown violence in the streets at night.

Much of Portland's downtown is boarded up, and the homeless are living all over town, and people are refusing to go there. Much of it looks like an embattled town in a war zone

I never thought in my lifetime I would see things that are happening, like what I've seen and experienced.

ANY THOUGHTS??

No one except God knows when the rapture of the Church and the 7 year tribulation will come. It feels to me like we are in the end times and we are getting closer to the time God will bring His wrath and judgment to this earth. All I have to do is look around.

@missmuffet

I totally agree.

In these last days we have the opportunity to share with people, and mention what is happening all around us, and maybe ask them what they think.

Maybe God will open doors for us to share Christ in these last days, which may linger for some time until as you said, only God knowing when the end happens , as in the days of Noah, and Christ comes back for His redeemed.

Every second it is getting closer....but is it near?  I do not know

When I was first saved in My Twenties...I was positive it was soon

When I hit thirty I was convinced it was just around the corner

When I was forty  I was pretty sure

When I was fifty I was of the mind

Now that I am on the other side of sixty,  I am not sure which will come first, Him coming to me, or me going to Him

But here there or in the air....I will be with Him

THAT being said....the words of Paul  ring truer today than they ever have

2nd Timothy 3:3 But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.

The Post Emergent, New Age Universalists nonsense seems to meet the conditions of verse 5

I don't know when the Day of the Lord will come and I have no sense of soon or not so soon, although I lean toward not so soon.

I see nothing in current events that leads me to think otherwise. What we are seeing contemporarily is a mere blip.

At the same time as there is this bit of lawlessness in areas of western civ---the Gospel is being brought en masse to huge populations in other areas despite governments.

Global warming such as it is--is not even on my radar. Weather changes--always has. No biggie.

I think some of us see what we want to see.

In fact, the lives of people the world over has been improving remarkably since the Industrial Revolution without ceasing---over all.

Even the poorest in much of the world are rich---but most importantly is how the Gospel is getting to all corners and world communication is increasing daily. Information dissemination.

This reminds me of the fullness of times when Jesus arrived on the scene. The known world was ripe for information dissemination because of the Greek Hellenization and then the Romans that made world travel easy and safe as well as synagogues in nearly every city and town. I hope and believe that we will see many more come to Christ. Many more.

Just like you these last couple of days have been a nightmare with 111 and 113 degree weather.

The thing that also stands out to me besides the weather and the pride movement  is moving from cash to digital. It seems if cash  is done away with more prophecy will unfold.

I remember hearing people talk like I have in this OP and thought to myself, boy am I staying away from them.

But for me now, with all I have seen and experienced the last 5 or so years, it seems like I am becoming one of THEM.

So if you want to stay away from me, and think I'm "Cookie",I don't blame you.:noidea:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
