Do you know excerpts in the Holy Scripture which answer this question clearly?

some word definitions need to be understood before answering that.

What do you mean about demon possessed.

When you say "the Devil" are you speaking of Satan himself or another fallen angel or a demon.

And what is the difference?

Demons are the spirit of giants/any hybrid forms who died by the Noah flood. They take over body n rule the mind, like the posessed medium with familiar spirit.

I feel you need a lot of study to answer this. Read or watch Dr Heiser's UNSEEN REALM. Then perhaps you will understand more and ask coherent questions.

Satan that we usually refer to as the devil is a created archangel that rebelleed against the Godhead. Demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim that was created by fallen angels mating with human women. There is a huge difference.

All of us need, not simply study, but meditate more on the Holy Scripture and put it into practice.

Satan is the devil. He was the greatest angel before he rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. About a third of the angels also rebelled with him and were cast out. Satan/the devil is one specific fallen angel.
