At a wedding ceremony a pastor said :

Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it..............."

Some christians say we should get married and multiply the population, it is God's commandment. No doubt thats God's will, but what they miss is that it was said only to Adam when the earth was still an empty UNCURSED SINLESS land six thousand years ago. Nobody populated the space you are sitting on now.

http://www.christianmessenger.in/in-wealthy-hong-kong-poorest-live-in-metal-cages/

In this country Indonesia, the population was only 145 million in 1970's. land was cheap, agriculture was large with enough crop. But it was in 1970's.

Nowadays the population has doubled, its over 300 million on the same soil, most young working force can not afford to buy house in the city. Even those with high salary can only afford to buy small apartments on 15 years credit, 21 m2 or 35 m2. With expensive monthly maintenance charges. Even boarding house with rooms of 2 x 2,5 meters is expensive now.

Most of flours, sugars, soybeans, fuels etc. are imported. Nations with uncontrolled population growth will only face large unemployments, very expensive housing, lack of agriculture land and crop etc. the problem is complex and this is just a short glimpse of this common phenomenon all over the world. Sooner or later people will live in cages like those in Hong Kong or sleep and live in internet rooms like in Tokyo. The government and most people still believe that "more children more fortune".

I was on the street buying food from street vendor a few months ago, somebody saw me and grab my hand demanding shares, the same thing happened a few weeks later. I didnt buy gold but cheap food beside the street. The government should be responsible for overpopulation, unemployment and poverty as they are financed by citizens, but we can only feel there is a government yet we cannot touch them. That happens when the government rule people instead of the people who rule them. The president is honest but he alone are not able to fight the corruption so rooty and intertwined by mostly hypocrites officers every where.

There are too many mouths to feed, too many umemployment, jails are over crowded and the most cruel will rule and sell drugs there while corruptors in prison can have picnic abroad. Religious hooligan gangs abundant which commonly admire ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas and the like. What would you do if you have no job to do and your stomach demands rice ?

As the article in the link says if you put too many rats in a box they will bite each other, is it coincidence with the frequent inter neighbourhood battle in this capital city, not in wealthy area but the slum who exchange bottles and stones.

Is it still relevant for mankind to multiply without Family Planning/ Birth Control ?

Are you going to give the people with more and more people based on 1 Gen 28 ? Or did God speak here about your seeds or about Adam's seeds ?

We christians are also taking part in overloading the population and make harder  competition for lands, housings, jobs, education, medics, clothing, food, transports, etc.

One bread for a man could mean starvation for another.

One house for a family could mean homeless for the others.

One job for a man could mean jobless for another.

One hospital bedroom could mean death for another. Many Covid patients died in self isolation at home, not accepted by full Hospitals, some were willing to sleep beside the entry door as all floors at hallways occupied.

Christians parents in this city want their children to go to the most prominent schools, where most students came from well  nourished and thick wallets with expensive sedans taking them every morning. The poor children in slum area and riverside or under the bridge remain uneducated and unable to compete for future, what will they become is easy to predict.

Agriculture and farm land in villages are overloaded that villagers swarm the cities to sell their muscle. Just look at horrible immigrants swarming USA. They wanted to build high wall to stop them, not willing to share their home, their food, Jobs,  medics, clothes, cars or  swimming pool with them. But thats understandable isnt that ?

Native villagers in Asia left their villages to seek fortune in the cities as coolies selling their muscle, in India, China, Indonesia, etc. Only to meet the same faces inundating the cities.

The Hebrew descendants of Abraham was forced to become slaves for more than 400 years. Egyptians didnt want to share the land with other seeds of Adam so they brutally tortured the Hebrew and killed newly born  babies to reduce the seeds of the Hebrew. The Jews had endless battle for Judea as the Arabs didnt want to share, banished and dispersed to nations, facing Hitler genocide and expelled by nations. The Dutch colonized this nation Indonesia for 350 years, kept the native and their seeds illiterate and stupid and rob and hoarded everything for the glory of their kingdom, and killed all the native resistants who thought of being independent and free on the land of God. No compensation given by the Dutch people for the 7 generation of bloody robbery and genocide.

In the medieval Times the kingdoms of Europe competed to launch its ships to search for the new lands and resources, only to find those lands already inhabited by other seeds of Adam, so they pretended to come with peaceful trading and then brought rifles, invaded and killed native resistants, colonized them, enslaved and keep the natives illiterate and stupid in malnutrition. And hoarded all spices and resources for the welfare of their kingdoms.

This earth is not an empty UNCURSED SINLESS land of 6000 years ago when God asked Adam to subdue it with his seeds, now the seeds of Adam is facing endless competition among each others, the poor Lazarus died in front of the Richs unable to compete for jobs, food, housing, medics and anything.

Nature has a way of self correcting.  If we have more people than the land can support, famine, pestilence and pandemics can't be far behind.  I see a dystopian future awaiting those of us still here.

Psalms 37, 25

I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread.

Seems to me like God knows the end from the beginning, and who am I to question God.

We cant always expect what came in David's Psalms to apply into our lives.

Paul gathered donation from gentile church to help the righteous saints and their families in Jerusalem to buy bread.

The poor Lazarus who died and taken by angels to Abraham's bossom could be an innocent humble n righteous man but he died in front of the rich man's house.

A bread for one rich man could mean death for another. No bread for the poor Lazarus, he died.

A house for a man could mean homeless for another.

Not all christians are rich n live in Beverly Hills, many live in slum area, as land are decreasing n competition increasing. The point is that Christians families are also take part in increasing  the already overloaded population and also get involved in this endless competitions for education, jobs, houses, foods, medics, clothing etc. A house that you buy for your family means another man loose chance to own it.

All christians families want to send their children to the most prominent and expensive schools, which means other families who cant afford it must give up and find another cheaper n lower quality schools. The rich Christian families are becoming the part that makes education expensive, the same things with housing, food, jobs, clothing, medic etc.

Exactly, where will people live n where will they plant food if more n more people are flooding the same piece of soil in our nations ?

Actually, I apply and I study And I memorized much of what is in the Psalms. I trust all God's promises, not just the ones I like.

When I was a kid, we were poor. But the thing is, everybody was poor back then, the forties and fifties.

Actually hartono, you are very incorrect in your comments. You really shouldn't group all Christians together as being the same.

In my family, we homeschooled all of our children. We had to buy all the books and curriculum xcetera, while still having to pay taxes for the public school children to get in free. Through all 12 grades, and some college. We work hard to be able to supply our children with a Godly education, and the kids worked hard to put themselves into college. There was no free gimmes in our family. You're coming down hard on people you know nothing about.

What Im just saying is that we christians are also taking part in creating harder and harder competition in this  already over populated world, for land, education, housing, food, jobs, clothing, medic, transport etc. Arent you ?

Side note: Here is a link, Here is what links you to this in one of the links about how the British Protestants did not like the Irish Catholics and thought that they were a stone age, Backward culture. Sound familiar........ ?..............

  • The British Helped the Irish Starve During the Potato Famine
  • This abhorrent view goes back a long way and is shared by many, which is why somebody can verbalize it without feeling ashamed. Two people in particular deserve the most blame for popularizing these beliefs, Thomas Malthus and Paul Ehrlich.
  • Famously, Malthus is the person after whom we have derived the term "Malthusian catastrophe," which refers to out-of-control population growth that results in food shortages and starvation. A lesser known fact is that Malthus was a Protestant (Anglican) minister who didn't think too highly of Irish Catholics. The British, in general, weren't fond of the Irish. At best, they were perceived as a backward, Stone Age culture; at worst, as subhuman.

Just look at horrible number of illegal immigrants trying to enter America to sell their muscle, their land is overpopulated n there is no job to make money to buy food. Christians are taking part in this competition for food, jobs, lands, housings, clothing, education, medicals, transports, etc.

I believe their political systems and governments are largely responsible for the influx of illegal immigrants on our southern border.  Also, our current administration is impotent with respect to border security.  They created the current chaos for political gain.

Hi RH,

There are the poor because there are the greedy; there is plenty of food, it is just thrown out; there is plenty of land, just not watered; there is plenty of workers, just used for the wrong purposes.

Mankind cannot manage the earth, its resources and population, only God can do that. And He will in the millennium, and the new heavens and new earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
