Do you remember when they came to take Jesus away to be tried?  Do you remember the ear that was cut off?  Do you remember who did it?  Doesn't that tell you that they walked around ARMED even when walking WITH Christ?  Isn't that a great example for us to follow? 

Am I correct in that you believe that everyone ever murdered or kidnapped or raped ect just didn't pray for Gods protection and if they had that that wouldn't have taken place?  I am not following your line of thought there, so if you could explain it a bit more it would be appreciated.  Thank you D

Peter pulled out the sword. Jesus rebuked Peter and put a quick stop to the blood shed Luke 22:5. He told Peter to put the sword away.

Doesn't change the fact that even back then swords were carried around and they were really good with them.  I agree, in that instant it was not and a quick stop took place.

Is the world there yet in general, and the U.S. in particular? 

The United States was established and based on Christian morals and values.  The majority of the people who live in the US no longer hold those morals and values in their hearts and minds.  The US is the last light of a Christian nation in the world and that light is all but out.  Those who know and hold the power of the Holy Spirit know we are in the end of time.  We just have no idea exactly how or how long to endure and persevere.

I'm not sure I can agree with that Debra.   The USA was made what it is by it's population which had Christian morals, but our government was not and never was.

And I think there are a lot more people with Christian morals than most know about.  My wife and I have heavily travelled the whole country over the past 25 years and we found good Christian folks everywhere we went.  Unfortumately those who control our news media and much of the upper controls of our government are the problem.  We never hear from or about the good Christian folks around.   Even the people I associate with on FaceBook and Used to be Twitter are still good Christian backed people.   Problem is we still seem to be that silent majority from my viewpoint....   and I'm trying to figure out how to awaken them again.

Maybe Al Qaeda can do it again, I don't know.

We pray to God for protection and safety. God answers our prayer for His grace. We have to have faith and trust that God will do what He wants for us. That doesn't mean that we will be saved. We have to have faith that God knows best and praise Him.

The world I lived in as a kid was a whole different world. Our world today is getting darker and darker and God is preparing this world for the 7 year tribulation. How long the born again Christian will remain on this earth before the rapture of the Church we don't know.

It's more likely that the dark stuff was deeply buried in secret and not visible to you. A facade suggesting that everything was peachy.

There has always been bad things happen in our world since Adam and Eve but there was definitely less crime in those days than there is today.
