Is this touching the 7th day Adventist teaching??

What I have stated touches YHWH's teaching. The 7th Day Sabbath started for man in Genesis and God's Word NEVER CHANGES. If you look into history, there are countless instance of how the Roman Catholic Church changed YHWH's Sabbath from the 7th Day to the Pagan Sun God day of worship of Sunday. The man the RCC calls "pope" had NO RIGHT to change YHWH's laws. One so-called "pope" even went as far as to say that if you kept the true Sabbath you would become an anathema. But if you refer to Galatians 1:6-9, if we pervert the gospel by changing it, we will be accursed. Another such warning comes in the closing verses of the Bible. Revelation 22:18-19 says, "For I testify unto everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Honestly, the 7th day Adventist have a lot right, but also a lot of things sorely wrong. Most of the un-biblical doctrine includes the teachings of Ellen White. As stated in 2 Corinthians 11:4 - For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily. There were several different un-scriptural Gospels in her teachings.  Just a side note, here Sabbath observance it totally Scriptural.

Be like a Beroean and test everything with the scriptures, INCLUDING what I have posted.

That is why I know by scripture that most of what you post here and in other threads is so very wrong doctrinally - you would have us Christians become doers of the OT Law.

Galatians 2:3  But not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
4  and that because of the false brethren privily brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
5  to whom we yielded in subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Galatians 2:11  But when Cephas came to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was condemned.
12  For before that certain came from James, he ate with the nations; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing them of the circumcision.
13  And the rest of the Jews dissembled likewise with him; so that Barnabas also was carried away with the dissimulation [hypocrisy].
14  But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as Gentiles, and livest not as Jews, how compellest thou the nations to be as Jews?

Thanks, apparently, it wasn't the right word, but I just learned from the Urban Dictionary that a "Borean" is actually someone who is of African and Korean ancestry...LOL

Acts 15:1  And certain men coming down from Judæa were teaching the brethren [that], Except ye be circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2  And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, to go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3  They therefore, being brought on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the nations: and they caused great joy to all the brethren.
4  And when they came to Jerusalem, they were received of the church and the apostles and the elders, and they rehearsed what things God had done with them.
5  But certain of the sect of the Pharisees who believed, rose up saying, that it is needful to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the law of Moses.
6  And the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7  And when there had been much questioning, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, YE know that a good while ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8  And God, who knoweth the heart, bare witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as to us;
9  and he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
10  Now therefore why make ye trial of God, by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor WE were able to bear?
11  But we believe we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in like manner as they.
12  And all the multitude kept silent, and heard Barnabas and Paul rehearsing what signs and wonders God had wrought among the nations through them.
13  And after they kept silent, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken to me:
14  Symeon hath rehearsed how first God visited the nations, to take out a people for his name.
15  And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16  After these things I will return, And will build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen; And I will build again the ruins thereof, And I will set it up:
17  That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, And all the nations upon whom my name is called [upon them],
18  Saith the Lord, who maketh these things known from the age.
19  Wherefore MY judgment is, that we trouble not them that from among the nations turn to God;
20  but that we enjoin them, to abstain from the pollutions of the idols and fornication and what is strangled and blood.
21  For Moses from generations of old hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath.

Acts 15:22  Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out from them, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23  and they wrote by their hand, The apostles and the elder brethren to the brethren who are of the nations in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greeting:
24  Forasmuch as we have heard that certain from among us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls; to whom we gave no commandment;
25  it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26  men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27  We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves also shall tell you the same things by word of mouth.
28  For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
29  to abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare well.
30  They therefore when dismissed, came down to Antioch; and having gathered the multitude, delivered the epistle.
31  And when they had read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32  And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted and confirmed the brethren with many words.
33  And after they had spent some time there, they were dismissed in peace from the brethren unto those that had sent them forth.
35  But Paul and Barnabas tarried in Antioch, teaching and preaching the gospel of the word of the Lord, with many others also.

Quite right. I encourage the OP to search the forums where they will find a plethora of threads pertaining to this subject matter. It has been discussed over... and over... and over again until the cows came home and expired from natural causes.

Well, they do believe what Jesus commanded us! If you lived at the time of the Cross as Paul and the Apostles, would there be ANY discussion regarding the keeping of the Sabbath? No. Remember, the Sabbath was made by God (Elohim), not Jesus (although they are One and the same), but Jesus repeatedly mentioned He came to do the will of the Father and He only said what His Father told Him. Jesus NEVER disobeyed His Father. If He would have ever disobeyed God and broke one commandment He would not be the Messiah. No matter how many miracles He would do in public or regardless of His resurrection, He would NEVER have been accepted- because He would have disobeyed God’s commandments. He said He did not come to CHANGE the law but to FULFILL it... that means only He could obey the 10 ALL the time- He showed man how to follow and keep the 10.

It wasn’t until Constantine in 321 when he changed the Sabbath- and in the 6th century the RCC legalized it.

The 7th day folks simply obey the 10, not the 9!

Charlie

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
