Due to all the upheaval and worries of covid, I am now drained of all strength. I used to have a thriving social life, close long-standing friendships and a fulfilling life. That's all gone. I don't even try any more and have lost contact with most of my friends. No church either. I just won't mix and risk infections, although I am fully vaccinated.

It's not good. I am not happy in myself. I just have no motivation left. I focus each day just on my home, marriage and myself. I just don't want to talk to anyone.

I do what I need, then read. In books I find distraction. This world holds no comfort or joy any more.

Who can I tell? Surely nobody is interested. Only to Jesus I pray, asking Him to guide and strengthen me.

God listens

He hears you, I too have not been the social butterfly ? I once was,. I occupy my time with scripture reading and my job

You being here is great way to be with a support group, although we communicate with text we can still relate and encourage each other

The world is a broken place, there is no doubt about that, But we have a father that listens and is available 24/7

He has led you here for a reason and  encouraging others and talking scripture to bring me closer to him is why he led myself here,. I encourage you to reach out and encourage your brothers and sisters as well, I get a good feeling in my heart when I think such a small thing as reminding people they are not alone might have a positive impact

And ask for prayers, nothing is too big or too small for our Father!, and there is power in numbers.. as a Christian I love to pray for those that need it

Im including you into that list!

I'm wondering why you don't go to church and mix, seeing as how you are vaccinated.

You can still get and spread covid, despite vaccination. Life has changed for a long time to come.

But you aren't supposed to have as serious symptoms if you've been vaccinated. My life has hardly change at all.

Not minimizing the extent of the effects, neither am I going to claim as Christians we can't have the victory over all of it. We can.

Blessed are the weary for they shall find strength. A present tense condition does not need to affect a future outcome. No need to write off the rest of your life.

This decidedly WILL perpetuate the issues that are bringing you down.

I think we've all been there at one time or another. Deep depression takes time to come out of. Listening to too much media propaganda can pull one down. Most of what's on the tube is dark unless you seek out better programming. If you only take what they are giving you it is a poor substitute for either totally accurate information or social interaction with those God puts in your path.

God has still put good things in the world He intended for us to enjoy in spite of the evil here." The world" has both good people and bad, both blessings and curses. As Christians we know this is not our home, yet we can enjoy being here at times and understand the bad things will eventually be eliminated.

Most assuredly yes, Jesus is our rock, our fortress. Yet God gives us friends and loved ones for good reason. One of which is to build one another up. More people care than you fully realize. You were worth enough for God to send His only Son to die for you. You were worth enough for God to come to you Personally to draw you to Himself. You were worth enough for Him to invest a place in heaven prepared for you. You were worth enough that God wants a relationship with you.

I have given up inside myself Nobody around me realises how low I really am as I hide it very well. I will never harm myself  but I hold no hope or dreams left for anything but to get through each day.

One of the aspects of truly being born from above is the ability to live for there not here… as this passes away even the memory of:
Isaiah 65:17 (KJV)
[17] ¶ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)
[8] Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Revelation 21:1-5 (KJV)
[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

So as you remain fearful of that which is not being kept anyway~ it is no doubt as to why you are shrinking in depression! When God’s Word becomes more necessary than our daily food we know we have passed from this world and the death to God’s world of eternal life through faith in what God has said…

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
It is of the Faith delivered through His Word
Romans 10:17 (KJV) [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

that we are delivered from the fear of death
Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV) [14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
[15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

My prayer for you is that you see this glorious deliverance from fear of death and experience life giving faith from His Word…

Just help me not to sink. The weight of cares right now is too heavy.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
