Therefore, God elevated (Jesus) to the place of highest honor

and gave him the name above all other names,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

Jesus: the most exciting Person in the universe.

So true!

Those disciples were so lucky to have spent all that time with him, camping, boat rides, just wandering with Jesus

you never knew what he would do

he might make a whip and start turning over tables, he might raise the dead, or confront demons

Everyday was an adventure and a learning experience

I think he had a sense of humor too doing things for shock value

i laugh when he wandered off and they just got in the boat and left him, I think he set that up,… just comes strolling on the water  ?‍♂️
just to shake them up, ?

just strolling, nothing to see here?

Jesus  kept popping fish and bread out of thin air like Gordon Ramsey * poof* I bet they were beside themselves * poof* another Fish ??!? *poof* more bread ? ?!?

and I bet Peter flipped out when he put all those fish into the net

he was indeed a very exciting and funny Lord

those disciples had all that time I would be grateful to have just 5 minutes with Jesus

I look forward to eternity being with him and our Father

The hard heads didn't understand He was Jesus Christ till our Father revealed it to Peter.  Still they were slow to understand, thinking He came to be the One Who would free them from the Romans.  He told them, but they had ears that could not hear.  They were like most of our world today who hear but reject the truth.  Only those that the Father chose and gave to Jesus were able eventually to perceive.  Remember doubting Thomas?

Yes it is true they didn’t understand sadly , but it was Peter that was the first to admit when Jesus asked who do you think iam and Peter said you are the Messiah

then he went and denied him 3 times ?

Jesus later made him make up for it asking him 3 times do you love me Peter, and then in Acts Peter stands up after receiving the gift of tongues and 3000 people were brought to Christ… It really shows even the disciples went through their own moments of weakness just like us

Poor doubting Thomas, I think he gets a bad rap with that nickname

I think he had his brothers and sisters best interest at heart ♥️

didn’t want to see them tricked by a con man, I think that’s why Jesus came back with all his wounds on purpose (because we know he could change his appearance ,) just so they would see the truth

After Thomas felt the wounds he would exclaim You are the Christ!?

What a beautiful Story, a lesson for us all that even though we have moments of weakness we are still capable of doing amazing things?

Peter was stepping forwards for Jesus and he was always willing and ready to give his support to Jesus even as he said that he was willing to march to death with him.

(But he did not understand at the time that Jesus had to suffer and die alone and without any harm to anyone of them.)

Peter's solidarity for Jesus could have served as a deterrent to anyone who would out of his jealousy for the Sabath would take it upon himself to express his solitude for the Sabath, and take it upon himself  to harm Jesus.

Jesus was always surrounded by his disciples and Peter had a sword.

But the time came that Jesus had to be left alone and without their support, for Jesus had prayed that nothing happened to anyone of them and that he had to go through his ordeals alone and none of them will have to die with him on his right or on his left.

The disciples will understand that later on, but not during his arrest and inspite of Jesus trying to separate himself from them and asking those who came in the name of the leaders to arrest him, repeatedly telling them "take me and let the others go".

This voluntary act by Jesus was enough to alert the pursuers of  Jesus that someone from his disciples may be stepping forwards to protect their Rabbi and give him a chance to escape.

The pursuers of Jesus were careful not to make a false arrest and needed some proof of verifying the identity of the one who voluntarily stepped forwards claiming he is Jesus the one they were looking for.

That was very strange to them because usually people in that situation are trying to avoid arrest and not voluntarily trying to be arrested.

The first time when Jesus said "I am he" some strange power came out of him that push them all away and they fall down.

Or instant of saying out of him we can say some strange power hit them the moment Jesus said I am he and they all fall backwards.

(This reminds us of the prophet when the Captain of the King went to arrest him he said "fire come down" and fire came from above and kill all of them.

Jesus had the power and more power than that prophet and could use it to prevent his arrest but he knew that the time had come and that it was the will of God to not defend his arrest and go with his pursuers.

Jesus let us know that he had the power at that time to defend himself that God had not striped him from his powers like it happened to Samson and that he was still in the will and obedience to God and only used his invisible powers to keep them away from coming close to him without harming them.

But he did it only once to demonstrate that he had the powers that he was equipped and could use them to protect himself and keep his pursuers away from him without any harm to them. But he surrender to his mission to go to the Cross and to do the will of God.

Jesus told them again that "he is he" but the soldiers determined to bring Jesus and the others to the leaders and let them decide which one of them is Jesus were about to arrest all of them.

Jesus perceiving what they were about to do he said to them "let them go, and take me, I am the one you are looking, by that time Judas had Identified him with a kiss but the Soldiers to avoid being manipulated by some conspiracy wanted more proof as to who Jesus was, they had no doubt that they had the right group but were not quite sure as to who Jesus was till the time Peter draw his sword and severed off the Servant ear.

Then when Jesus took the ear of the Servant and put it back and healed him, that to the amazement of his pursuers proved to them as to who Jesus is, that he is the man they were looking for "the miracle man.

In doing this Jesus disciples were not arrested and suffered with him as he had prayed that none of them should suffer and died with him.

So Peter action to severe the ear of the Servant was an action guided by the Holy Spirit, which resulted in Jesus being identified as the Miracle Man beyond a reasonable doubt and Jesus pursuers being satisfied that they had Jesus they did not arrest any of the disciples and they let them go.

Positive Identification that they arrested Jesus of Nazareth was established beyond a reasonable doubt, this is why the Leaders of the Jewish Nation never doubted that they had apprehend Jesus and they were very proud of it.

When Jesus established his irrefutable identity when he healed the ear of the Servant of the High Priest.

The Servant was a living testimony that the man whom they put on the Cross was non other than Jesus of Nazareth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
