The True Meaning of Christmas

His people, he is calling his people to repentance, THEY WERE HIS PEOPLE BEFORE THEY REPENT. 

Think about that. 

Jesus Christ is not calling anyone of the people who believe in him Christians.

He is calling them his people. He is calling his own people to repent so he can give them a special blessing that follows repentance.

Jesus Christ never preach the message "how to become a Christian. 

This is Judging the people of Jesus Christ who are entangled in the things of this world. 

You must have been engaged oneself to understand what that really means.

Jesus Christ is calling people as they are entangled in the world to believe in him.

You need to do a study of how repentance is used in the New Testament. In order to receive Jesus we first must recognize we have sinned and we need Him. That is Biblical repentance, the recognition that we are sinners, and the need to turn from our sins. The first word out of Jesus' mouth when He started to preach was  "Repent!"   He was calling people to recognize that they need salvation and was calling them to turn from their sins. He was bringing in a New Covenant that requires repentance in order to appropriate it. That's the only way anyone can be His people is under the New Covenant.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent: Acts 17:30.

Again,  do a study of how the word is used.

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ coming to save us from our sins. This has to be the focus, otherwise we will get disappointed if the packages we ordered don’t arrive on time, or our holiday plans are thwarted. He is the gift, He is the love we celebrate.

The love He brings through the knowledge that we are saved by His sacrifice is what enables us to celebrate no matter what our physical circumstances may bring. We can’t separate Christmas from John 3:16. Christmas is all about the cross. He was born to die for humanity and His example of selfless giving is what our gift exchanging is all about.

While originally decorating a tree was a pagan custom, the Christmas tree now represents the tree upon which our Lord was crucified. The ornaments hanging upon its branches are representatives of the shimmering sacrificial love that was also hung upon a tree for us. Christmas should be a joyful celebration of our salvation which is made possible by the Baby, the gift that was born beneath the shadow of that tree.
