I heard yesterday many people are scared. Two Policemen committed suicide, 200 have walked off the job.

This explains the principality of evil spirits still reigning down there, on a T-shirt of the bartender still there in the French Quarter:

"How much fun can I have before I go to hell?

So, is Las Vegas "sin city" next?

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet, and even as they did not like to retain G-d in their knowledge, G-d gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, being filled with all unrighteouness, fornication, wickedness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of G-d, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful, who knowing the judgment of G-d that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. ~ Romans 1

I think the tragedy in New Orleans is the best example of the total depravity of man. Man without order and/or God will always revert to the lowest form of humanity. Doesn't matter if this occured in New Orleans, Miami, New York, Dallas, or small town Kansas....what you are viewing isn't the "evil spirits in New Orleans" but the fallen nature of man. What you see occuring is what you and I are without the grace of Christ.

That's just beyond sad.

Has everyone read the article Nebula posted in this forum? I think it should be read by everyone, so you'll see me linking to it frequently for awhile.

So you don't believe in the reason that Paul gave to put on the whole armour of G-d?

6:11

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

6:12

For we wrestle not against * flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

As Yod wrote in another thread it seems that whole town was corrupt, from the top down, including those who were entrusted to keep the law. I'd say that would be spiritual wickedness in high places. It is a known fact of that New Orleans 'was' the VooDoo capitial of America, this same spirit has kept the island of Haiti under control for centuries. This is not Christianity , although many will try and convince otherwise.

Check out these little known facts ( outside the area) of New Orleans:

Just a quick summary.

1.DRUGS ~The French Quarter is the site of the first officially licensed pharmacist to practice in the United States. Louis Dufilho was licensed in 1816 and opened his shop in 1823.New Orleans, the French Quarter was the site of the very first Pharmacy in the US. If you know your greek, our word Pharmacy comes from that language, Pharmakeia which in the KJV is translated as sorceries.

As in REV.9:21

Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (I think all four discribe NO )

2.GAMBLING~ Gambling's birthplace was not Las Vegas as many assume. The dice game craps was introduced to the new world in New Orleans. The card game of poker also developed its modern rules on riverboats shuttling between New Orleans and St. Louis. And in another high stakes confrontation, champion boxers John Sullivan and James Corbett squared off in the city in the state's first legalized prizefight in 1892

3. WORSHIP OF IDOLS ~ New Orleans voodoo is a religion based on spiritual beliefs carried to the colony by slaves from West Africa. Those beliefs merged with Catholicism in Louisiana and the renowned voodoo queen Marie Laveau was a devout Catholic who went to mass every day.

NO, is the site of a museum ( not to mention all the private residences) that contain altars to other gods. The museum is full of altars laden with offerings of liquor, totems or "ju jus" including skulls and dolls and other representations of reverence for the pantheon of voodoo spirits. A continuously running video also details current practice of voodoo in the city.

4.SEX AND FORNICATION~ SODOMY AND GOMORRAH~ There's more to Mardi Gras than meets the eye. The annual rite goes back to the 18th century in Louisiana and has recently become grandly memorialized and celebrated. There is even a museaum to glorify it. The majority of the artifacts concern the current "practices" both in New Orleans and in Cajun Country, but there is also a section on the European roots of carnival and its relation to Christian and pagan rituals.

I don't think I have to explain all that Mardi Gras intails do I? But the source it Christianity.

Now do you think NO was just like any other town?

I agree with you completely.Through the grace of God we now have the ability to love our neighbor as ourself, and to put Him first in everything.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
