The battle in Ezekiel 39 was fought around the time of King Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian Captivity, "Historical" long ago

The scripture below clearly teaches Israel went into "Captivity" and the Lord will bring again the "Captivity" of Jacob, Israel will return from the Babylonian Captivity, simple, clear, and before your eyes

Wooden Weapons + Babylonian Captivity = "Historical Battle"

Ezekiel 39:9 & 23-25KJV

9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

Jeremiah 46:26-27KJV

26 And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the Lord.

27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Clearly future. The entire prophecy and it's fulfillment has to hinge on ALL of the prophecy, not a section of verse.

Just because we don't understand how it could happen doesn't mean it won't happen just as spoken.

These other things must also occur along with burning the weapons of war. [burning the weapons cannot happen unless the army is destroyed].

"Eze 39

  • On the mountains of Israel you will fall—.
  • I will give you as food to every kind of ravenous bird and wild beast.
  • 5You will fall in the open field,
  • 6I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands,
  • . 7So I will make My holy name known among My people Israel and will no longer allow it to be profaned.
  • Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
  • 9Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out, kindle fires, and burn up the weapons
  • For seven years they will use them for fuel.
  •  10They will not gather wood from the countryside or cut it from the forests, for they will use the weapons for fuel.
  • They will loot those who looted them and plunder those who plundered them, declares the Lord GOD.

[this cannot be Nebuchadnezzar as his armies were not defeated by Israel. Then before the weapons are burned a fire is sent on Magog and all the coastlands. Did that occur?]

  • 11And on that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the Sea.b
  • It will block those who travel through, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there.
  • 12For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.
  • 13All the people of the land will bury them, and it will bring them renown on the day I display My glory,d declares the Lord GOD.

"And here the army is named and it isn't Babylon or Nebuchadnezzar. It's Gog of Magog. And all of this is set to occur when the army is destroyed so... when did the Babylonians fall on the mountains and get their weapon burned for 7 years and buried in valley no one is allowed to cross?

And why do you keep pointing out Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar when Ezekiel says it's Gog of Magog?

The Jeremiah 46 quote in it's entirety:

"

25The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I am about to punish Amon god of Thebes,d along with Pharaoh, Egypt with her gods and kings, and those who trust in Pharaoh. 26I will deliver them into the hands of those who seek their lives—of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. But after this, Egypt will be inhabited as in days of old, declares the LORD.

27But you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid,

and do not be dismayed, O Israel.

For I will surely save you out of a distant place,

your descendants from the land of their captivity!

Jacob will return to quiet and ease,

with no one to make him afraid.

28And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid,

declares the LORD, for I am with you.

Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have banished you,

I will not completely destroy you.

Yet I will discipline you justly,

and will by no means leave you unpunished.”

This is a punishment on Egypt, not Israel. Eze 39 talks about Israel. Is this just an oversight?

The Captivity of Jacob in Babylon takes place "Once" as seen both in Ezekiel 39:25 & Jeremiah 46:27 below, Israel has returned from this Captivity "Once" in 536BC, it's a "Historical" event fulfilled not future

Both describe the same exact event, in Israel returning from the "Historical" Babylonian Captivity

We Strongly Disagree

Ezekile 39:25KJV

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

Jeremiah 46:27KJV

27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
