In the de-occupied territories of Kherson and the Kherson Region, for the first time, children's torture chambers were discovered, where the Russian occupiers kept minors. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, said this at a briefing on Wednesday, December 14.

Lubinets noted that after the liberation in Kherson and Balakliya of the Kharkiv Region, law enforcers discovered cells where the occupiers kept children. In particular, one boy spent 90 days in captivity, and during this time the occupiers cut him with a knife, burned his body, and several times took him out for execution.

"I thought it would be impossible to break through the bottom after Bucha, Irpin... We recorded the torture of children for the first time. In Kherson, we discovered 10 torture chambers, 4 in the city itself. One of them has a separate room - a cell where children were kept," the Ombudsman said.

The children were not fed, they were given to drink every other day and they were said that their parents had abandoned them, Lubinets said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 16, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the discovery of a torture chamber of the occupiers in liberated Kherson.

On November 14, the authorities of the Mykolaiv Region reported that a torture chamber and mass burials were discovered on the territory of the settlement of Snihurivka.

On November 8, in the de-occupied territory of the Kherson Region, law enforcers discovered the bodies of three civilians killed by the Russian military.

The State Budget of Ukraine has received grant funds in the amount of USD 2 billion from the World Bank Trust Fund.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

This is the second tranche of the grant with a total size of USD 4.5 billion.

The funds were provided by the United States through the World Bank Trust Fund, as part of the project Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE).

The grant funding raised will be aimed at providing pension payments and salaries to civil protection workers, as well as paying for medical services under the medical guarantee program.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in total, after the start of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine received USD 12 billion from the United States in the form of grants.

As such, the United States is the largest direct budget aid donor of any partner country in 2022.

Yes, but funding to help the homeless, the doctors and nurses in hospitals that are in crisis mode, the poor, the disabled, etc, etc. No, we don`t have funding there.

Mmmm I perceive an agenda of great powers using the war in the Ukraine to cover troubles at home. and also, to try out their latest weapons on someone else`s territory. 

NATO promised that they would not come closer to the Soviet territory after the Berlin wall came down, but bit by bit they moved over a thousand miles east, right up to the last country before Russia. 

I don`t believe either side is right. It is only the Politicians using Russia as the fall guy for all their incompetent governments, plus of course the businesses who make those weapons. Then again if you have an army you need to use it.

The enemy`s strategy is always to divide and conquer - jab/unjab,  right/left,  Catholic/Protestant, Russia/NATO, etc etc.

We need to remember that there are Christians in both areas and that is who God sees - SAVED/UNSAVED.

Agreed.  The story of this war is much more nuanced than we probably think.  And the US has had its hands in there for some time too.  I pray for salvation for those on both sides, those who need strengthening and encouragement receive it and that those who need stopping be stopped.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reacted to another terrorist attack that was staged by Russia against civilians of Kherson. He left the corresponding post on his official page on Telegram.

The head of state showed photos of the dead, noting that the world should see how evil Russia is.

Zelenskyy stated that photos with the bodies of killed Kherson people show the real life of Ukraine and Ukrainians.

The President stressed that the Russian occupiers kill residents of Ukraine for intimidation and pleasure. He noted that the world must understand what evil our country is fighting.

"The terrorist country continues to carry the Russian world in the form of shelling of civilians. On Saturday morning, Christmas Eve, in the downtown city. It's not military facilities, it's not a war by rules. This is terror, these are murders for the sake of intimidation and pleasure. The world must see and understand what absolute evil we are fighting against," the head of state wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Saturday, December 24, the Russian occupation army staged another shelling of Kherson. The terrorists hit the city center. As a result of enemy shelling, there are many killed and wounded among civilians.
