What do you do there?

Is it formal?

Or  loud?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

most i have seen or been to are "come as you are"

The Spirit does not care if you are in formal wear, or casual.... dress proper though, you do not want anything to come to view.....

personally, i would recommend either long dress or nice slacks for women and long trousers for men.... short sleeve or long sleeve shirts for both ( some people wear tanks and shorts, or strapless, but a person may be more comfortable in a sleeved top with out being cut too low either )

revivals, have alot of prayer time, and kneeling and some even have some jumping and some can get pretty exciting.....

best thing to do is just be ready for anything....

some do get loud on the decible scale, some are not quite so loud,

there have been services where the Spirit was allowed to flow completely, and when some one looked in on the nursary, the children were being encompassed, flooded with the Holy Spirit.....

some revivals have prayer rooms, where there will be people praying the entire time the revival is on going.....

revival starts with prayer, and more prayer and more prayer... revival does not start at the sound of a bell or starting gun or just cause some one says it is time... revival starts when we begin to give God enough time ... time He wants.... not what we feel we should have to give.....

oh yea.... pasting along with the prayer does not hurt either.... actually helps....

Wow... reading this makes me realize how the church has lost the meaning of the word revival.

Nothing against 'revival' services or anything, the intent behind them is great (when they seek to allow God reign), but I think they are better described as an outreach service then revival services.

See, a Revival is meant to be a continuous thing. It is suppose to be a sustained and encompassing spiritual reawakening, a restoration of the church or of the body of believers. It is more than an evangelical service where some people accept Christ (though such things are awesome in themselves), or a one night thing. However, God can use those to start a revival, and use them to spark a sustained and encompassing awakening of the church, and of seeing many come to Christ.

Thinking of Revival, I encourage you to search up on the Asuza Street revival at the beginning of the 1900s, or the Argentinan revival in the 1980s.

I also pray that the service you go to would be one that brings a genuine and powerful move of God to that area, and that it awakens the church to be bold in Christ, and that it draws those who are not yet saved into the arms of the Savior!

I would love to come to this revival. Anyone from the northeast want go Greyhound? We could all meet up and have a face to face Worthy-luncheon.

Could be uplifting and fun.

Amen, I have to admit that I was kind of thinking the same thing.. we just had revival meetings at my church for a week and then last Sunday night, the Pastor set up something special.. four men preaching one message.. each with one point about The Plan to Revival.. the talked about what revival was and how we needed revival.. about being right with God..

Our Country(whatever country you are in) can have a revival.. but in order for that.. it needs to start in our churches.. and in order for it to start in our church.. it must start in the home.. a revival in the home... and before a revival in teh home.. it must be in the individual.. one member can tear this down.. but one member can help with it at the same time.. it only takes one...

Our Country is in need of a revival.. it starts with you...

I have been to two revival meetings, but each have been at my church... At first, many knew kind of what to expect.. for those that didnt', we asked questions and got answers...

Continue to pray about the revival meetings you are about to go to and ask God to do a mighty work.. Ask God to speak to your heart and to others and that a soul might be saved. My hint ot you woudl be to find out exactly what "revival" means..

:) I am sorry if I haven't been much of a help.. but.. Have a good day and will be praying for you and the revival meetings

I love the meetings when they are led by the Holy Spirit. The one important thing is to not let the revival in your heart burn out. Revival is a constant, going on in your heart.

Have you ever heard if the Brownsville or the Pensacloa Revival?

Yes, there is a couple that came from that church that now live nearby that travel and bring the heart of the Lord to people. I love them, they are precious friends!! They love the Lord and the revival in Brownsville changed their lives.

Constant,

I would suggest you go with an open heart ready to hear and receive from the Lord whatever he may have for you. Be blessed sister!!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
