I tried to get an answer to these in another thread, but they were brushed aside. To be fair, they were not the topic, so I have started a new topic here. For those who have the courage of their convictions, they may answer. Others may choose not to, and that is fine. Since Jesus is the most central topic (it I were to rank them in order of importance - my opinion) from Genesis to Revelation, it might be beneficial to note some of the more noteworthy claims that have been made about him.

It might me better if this were in the theology section, and it may well get moved there, but for now it will start here. I extend a special invitation to @DaDaBro , since it was in a thread of his that this came up, but anyone is welcome to participate. Mind you, there are some meaty issues here that some will take objection to and tempted to debate vigorously, that is okay, but please, if you are a Christian (any of you, and you do not have to be to participate) then take Peters' words to heart in your responses:

15but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.

The questions I posed concerning the person of Jesus are:

1 Is Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah?

2 Was Jesus born to a virgin Jewish woman?

3 Did Jesus live a sinless life?

4 Did Jesus eat meat?

5 Did Jesus assist men in catching 'innocent' fishes?

6 Did Jesus give up His life to die a gruesome death where His innocent blood was shed for the salvation of those who have sinned against God?

7 Did Jesus after dying, lie in a grave (tomb) and then days later, rise from the dead in a body?

8 Did Jesus ascend to the right hand of God where all judgment has been given to Him?

9 Will Jesus come again to earth?

10 Did Jesus participate in the creation?

11 Did Jesus exists as the Word of God in the beginning who came to the world to live and die as a man we know as Jesus of Nazareth?

Feel free to pass on 4 and 5, they were relevant in the original thread where these questions were asked.

What do you all think?

I answered you.

Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

But this shows you didn't receive it. God will only give knowledge to the ones capable of understanding it.

Isaiah 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

-Anyways, Jesus cannot sin. Thou shalt not kill, therefore Jesus cannot kill. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man, same goes with fish, it is murder, an abomination.

-Jesus cannot commit abominations, shedding innocent blood is an abomination, therefore Jesus cannot shed innocent blood. Fishes were created innocent, so they are innocent until proven guilty, same goes with lambs or any other animal. Meaning He cannot kill the innocent, Jesus cannot condemn the guiltless... He rebuked them that do... If you knew what this meaneth: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice".

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

No. You did not answer him. The questions were straightforward.

Your responses have been much song and dance and brushing aside those questions you don't want to answer. This is not an accusation. It's based on observed behavior.

So how about a simple answer: Who is Jesus to you?

John 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

-It is an accusation based on your own understanding. Or lack thereof. You too need to understand.

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

-Because if you knew this, it would have answered the question.

Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

But I answered again, this time clearly, Jesus cannot sin. As long as Thou shalt not kill binds us, so will Jesus not kill, nor shed innocent blood, nor condemn the guiltless, nor work against the Will of God.

Jesus is the Son of God, The Messiah. Jesus came in the flesh.

Jesus is YHWH, the LORD of Hosts.

Jesus is The Saviour, The Redeemer, The LORD Our Righteousness, The Almighty, The First and the Last, The KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, The God of gods, The Everlasting Father, The Mighty God, The Arm of the LORD and His Right Hand.

That was the idea walla, the questions are made in such a way, that all they required was a yes or no. I don't mind commentary, I assumed there would/will be some discussion, but at LEAST as yes or no was what I had hoped for, and if one wanted to offer more in addition, that would be fine!

I suppose it is only fair that I too respond:

1 Is Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah?  YES

2 Was Jesus born to a virgin Jewish woman?  YES

3 Did Jesus live a sinless life?  YES

4 Did Jesus eat meat?  YES, meat as in animal flesh, definitely fish, and since He hosted a Passover meal probably lamb.

5 Did Jesus assist men in catching 'innocent' fishes?  Yes

6 Did Jesus give up His life to die a gruesome death where His innocent blood was shed for the salvation of those who have sinned against God?   Yes

7 Did Jesus after dying, lie in a grave (tomb) and then days later, rise from the dead in a body?  YES

8 Did Jesus ascend to the right hand of God where all judgment has been given to Him?  YES

9 Will Jesus come again to earth?  YES

10 Did Jesus participate in the creation?  YES

11 Did Jesus exists as the Word of God in the beginning who came to the world to live and die as a man we know as Jesus of Nazareth?  YES

The answers of yes to all of the questions, would be in the realm of Christian Orthodoxy. Orthodoxy does not mean that the answers are correct, it just indicates that they are the most commonly held beliefs in the church historically.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
