What exactly cause nations to wail when Jesus appears on the cloud ?

Revelation 1 ⁷ Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.

Wouldn't it be good if Jesus returns to earth to end all the misery of mankind ? Why wail ?

Imho people will wail because they will shockingly see millions of angels gathering the saints to the cloud with mighty sound of trumpets and the world are just spectators, in their neighbourhood, in their cities, in their nations in the land, on the mountain and even on the sea.

Remember God sent angels to take Lot out of Sodom ? The same thing.

Matthew 24:31 And He will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elects from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

And when Jesus disappears with the saints the world somehow knows deep inside their heart that something very terrible is coming upon the whole world. Yet they will console their hearts such as :

-That was alien abductions

-Bad people are removed and the earth is cleaned

-Souls of the deaths were taken for punishment

-Left behind foolish virgins will claim they will be saved and protected like the Hebrew in Egypt and bad people punished.

-Theologians will claim those were sinful people facing end times judgment by God etc. etc

-The raptured were taken to hell by angels

-There was no rapture as Noah and Lot was saved on earth. So they are the safe on earth.

-Its good to be left behind and be saved from alien abduction and continue life as before.

-Rapture was a theory invented by John Darby. The true saints need to be tested and purified in the great tribulation (they fail already). I bet this kind of people have no scar tissue of trial on their skin.

They wail and ask the mountains to fall on them because of the Wrath of the Lamb, “They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!” (Revelation 6:16), interestingly The Mark of Beast in half of the manuscripts is 616 rather than 666. 

While we who confess Jesus as Lord God and Son of God, shall be spared of all wrath:

“Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!” (Romans 5:9)

“And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment/who rescues us from the coming wrath..” (1 Thessalonains 1:10)

“Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to lIfe.” (John 5:24)

Say that a dozen friends got together and bought each a ticket to the $100 million lottery. The tickets would sequential since they came from the same pad. Two weeks later the winning ticket is published. As each one examined his/her ticket they realize that one of the twelve has the winning ticket because they see the sequence. After a process of elimination they decide that YOU hold the winning ticket. But you don't believe this could be and despite their pleas over some months, you never check it because you've never had luck of that sort. And truly, your luck goes bad. You suffer bankruptcy, your only child dies of a cancer that only a lot of money could have healed, your wife brokenheartedly leaves you and you enter the ranks of the homeless.

Twenty years later, in the worn pocket of your once good quality pants, tucked in the seam, is the lottery ticket. You investigate because that's all you have to do besides begging for your lunch. And you discover in a flash that you did have the winning ticket for $100 million.

Likewise, Israel will see the Messiah they waited so long for and Who could have restored them and made them the leading nation again.

And the nations, tongues and Tribes of the Gentiles, who have suffered so at the hand of their kings first, the Beast second and Satan third, will realize that This King Who bursts forth from the clouds in great glory, is that benign, equitous, healing and generous One they hear all those centuries about in the Bible.

If Only they had believed ....
