I am well aware of Pauline theology.

Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness

comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

I am not even sure why you are saying this in response to my post,

which says nothing of law keeping, but that the Gospel of Jesus Christ

is Grace AND Truth, with several scriptures detailing quite a bit of what

that truth entails.

Acts 5:32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is

the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Hebrews 5:9 And having been perfected, He became the author of

eternal salvation to all who obey Him.

Malachi 3:

17 “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.
18 Then you shall again discern
Between the righteous and the wicked,
Between one who serves God
And one who does not serve Him.

I have merely tried to show that the Gospel of Truth

states that there is more than just grace alone. Not by

works of Mosaic Law, or our attempts to be good. But

what is required is obedience to the One you call both

LORD and Savior.

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but

grace AND truth came through Jesus Christ.

The truth is that the lawless cannot be saved by grace.

What does well done good and faithful servant mean?

What does depart from me, you have been lawless mean?

James 2:

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.”

Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you

my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well.

Even the demons believe—and tremble!

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith

without works is dead?

Something has to give. All Paul was teaching is that

works of the Law alone cannot save without faithfulness

to the Gospel of God's Son. Many Christians believe in tithing,

and that is in the Law. Does tithing save them? I say not.

Receiving the grace of God is the power of God to fulfill

every Law. Please do not receive the grace of God in vain.

Paul says in Ephesians 2.8-9: "By grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast".

The little ones run to what they know of city now... they have not grown in the Scriptures to rightly divide in this truth... The Spirit reveals this concept here
Colossians 3:1 (KJV)

[3:1] If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

[2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

[4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

To set our hearts on what cannot be known now but exist in promise by God is life and peace in this place of end... and it sure makes us as aliens...

The Obedience of Christ, our Beloved, Precious Lord and Savior told us PLAINLY what exactly are the " works" that bear witness to His Truth,His Grace.     The " works" of Faith are simple and have zero to do with the Law of Moses ,although in keeping that Commandment that Jesus spoke about will keep ALL the Commands that are Pleasing & Acceptable in God's Sight!

Jesus Said: IF you love me.....

(John 14:15)

Yes,LOVE is the Greatest Command

And the hardest thing in the world to do for anyone without Christ Jesus! Love your enemy, love the murderer, the nasty next door neighbor, the guy who stole your car or hurt your kid  .. .. yes,LOVE. ..  you may despise what they've done, you may dislike everything they do or say or even who they are but yet,Love them..... Hmmm

Only that Love, the Love of Jesus will enable you to do God's Will- that will be the thing that moves you to go about Father's Business, preaching the Gospel to every creature, feeding the poor, helping the destitute & the prisoners, the God Haters, the foul, the wicked, every wretched sinner .......

Yes exactly...
It is the structure of God's Word. He gave His Law to the Elect Israel and naked before the world showing themselves unable to keep it. Then God sent His Son Who did... showing the world if we wanted to be perfect it had to be His perfection not our own. We literally have to look outside of our own selves to find it in Jesus... I believe repentance is that very act.

Excellent,thank you

It's always been a challenge for me to see " Jesus" in many of the OT stories though I Know, because He Said So- It's ALL about Him

Sometimes I ask Him to take me through the Scriptures and show me as He Did on the road with the 2 men when He Walked with them after He Rose Again- He Showed them the Scriptures Wrote about Him.    Oh,I can only imagine their Joy!!!

Paul says in Ephesians 2.8-9: "By grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast".

Can we include verse 10, since we are going there>

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

This is where Paul and James are in perfect agreement.

Not our works (feeble attempts at being good or righteous) but

His works that serve His Purpose, that we are commanded to walk in.

2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling

not according to our works, but according to His own purpose

and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

2 Thessalonians 2:

13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you,

brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning

chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit

and belief in the truth

14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of

the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions

which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.

This is what I am referring, Eph 2 is important in the context

of Paul's teaching, but not the whole Gospel in a nutshell.

It's a covenant, and the terms are clear and irrevocable.

The Elect are called to serve, and by so doing earn a great

reward in Glory that cannot be gained simply by keeping

a Sabbath day, or a holy diet restriction. The Lord has

given commands to His followers that are beyond Mosaic

Law, we are to do as He has done. We cannot be greater than

our Master, we can only be like Him, and He came to serve,

as we must do also. If not, this is clearly defined as lawlessness,

not breakers of Mosaic Law, but the Law of Christ. If some object

claiming this is works based salvation, they should first know how

important works are to One who has given us His commands.

Revelation 2 and 3 messages to the churches, and the rewards

for those who overcome, not simply believe. We cannot

preach a message that encourages people to do nothing

as if nothing is required, as that leads them to forfeit a great

reward. They will be saved, but only by passing through fire.

1 Corinthians 3:

13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it,

because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each

one’s work, of what sort it is.

14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures,

he will receive a reward.

15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss;

but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

2 John 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those

things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

Grace and Purpose equals salvation with works befitting of

our repentance that brings great reward. That is the full Gospel.

Acts 26:

19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient

to the heavenly vision,

20 but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem,

and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles,

that they should repent, turn to God,

and do works befitting repentance.

Paul taught works, not our own, but the righteous

requirements of the Law of Christ. Take it or leave it,

I am not contradicting Ephesians 2:7-9, unless the man

who wrote it later contradicted himself.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
