Finally you say - Note the grammar of Matthew 25:31

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, ..., then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

You say - If we sit with Him in His throne judging the nations, it too will be AFTER HE COMES.

The Lord`s throne/authority there is NOT of this world. No one on earth gave Him His seat of power and authority. It is the Father who has set His Son on the heavenly Mount Zion and it is of that authority that the Lord will judge the rebellious on the earth when He comes in great power and glory. (Ps. 2: 2: 6   Heb. 12: 22)

Jude 14 are Holy Ones, and they can be angels or saints. Thus we need other scriptures to confirm which.

Jesus said -

`they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power & great glory. And He will send His angels..`                         (Matt.24: 30 & 31)

`When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him...` (Matt. 25: 31)

`the Son of Man comes in His glory, & in the glory of the holy angels.`  (Luke 9: 26)

`when Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God,..` (2 Thess. 1: 7)

 

The Philippians scripture was to affirm that we are both seeking truth by the Holy Spirit.

I'm happy to leave this "tributary" - (whether our final destiny is heaven) to the main theme, the original post - (whether those who had the word of the kingdom written in their hearts where Christians). And whether contemporary Christianity appreciates this. If however you deem it moot, I can accept that too. After all, who needs the words of the Kingdom that is in heaven and not to be worked for. A Kingdom that is guaranteed. No "garment" needed, no talents multiplied, no pounds multiplied, no holy living, no effort, no self denial because we are already made to sit in the heavenlies IN Christ and are blessed with all spiritual blessings already with our inheritance safe and sound in heaven.

What think ye? In three separate occasions our Lord joined being ejected from the kingdom with "outer darkness", wailing and gnashing of teeth and even stripes. Now that would be an interesting thread. Christians in heaven weeping and wailing in outer darkness ....

Hi Ad Hoc,

yes we have both had a good go at explaining our view. 

As you have asked a question I would like to answer that too. God`s great Kingdom is in three realms - the third heaven, the Universe and on the earth. Each will have rulership under the Lord Jesus Christ. 

In the highest crowns are given for work done by the Holy Spirit in a believer`s life. That would entail responsibilities as God the creator has not exhausted His ability to create. There are many worlds that will be out there in the NHNE. And the Lord would have His Body work with Him as He governs and directs His plans in the future.

Remember that Adam was told to multiply and fill the earth. Well on the new earth when that occurs then more land is need for mankind. 

In our new glorified bodies we will have a greater capacity to understand what the Lord will be sharing and teaching of His greater plans. Music and harmonies we have never heard, sights that are more glorious than we can imagine, teachings of how the universe is run and upheld by His word, and many more wonders to behold and be a part of.

Let us not limit our amazing God, Creator and Head of His Body.
