Thursday 9-29-22 5th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Tishri 2 5783 7th. Fall Day

Matthew Seventeen

1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Hello Kwikphilly, and how are you all? When I received Grace this morning the OP stuck with me as it is now, to see what was that meant as a Grain Of Mustard Seed, to me as having the right frame of mind towards what Jesus was saying about having faith in God, and we must earnestly have that kind of Faith.

I'm Blessed & Highly Favored,at least that what I think just because I woke up to see a new day this morning! Thank you for asking- Praise Jesus!

I agree,it is that right Faith-( not necessarily more or a lot of but right kind- truly Believing) That Faith though as tiny as a mustard seed where the mighty mustard tree comes - from the tiniest seed comes the biggest tree because if it's " kind", it is really a mustard seed,!!!!

Glory to God-

It has always appeared to me as a rebuke to his followers (and to us), that we do not have the faith, the real faith that is on a different level as Jesus is trying to show us, a faith in God that could move mountains. We have been using our own thinking about how to solve our desires to please God, to solve our problems, and not just seek his face, believing (by that kind of faith) in His ability. Our prayers are not overcoming God's reluctance but laying hold of his willingness. I believe the key is knowing His will in the matter, that the prayers are (even) heard.

"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him"

I have always had a slightly different take on this one

Said Jesus mean the size of a mustard seed, or something eles

what is the faith of a mustard seed,  It is to do what it is in its nature to do'

If planted it WILL Grow, it will provide shade and food....it will do what it was made to do

If we fully embrace the nature and will of God in our lives then we will do, what it is in our nature to do

Casting out that devil..why could not we do it? Because of our unbelief. Today we have the word to tell us if we doubt let not that man think he will get anything from God. Yet if you "have" faith the size of a mustered you "shall......and nothing shall be impossible to you."

It is amazing is it not that we tell each other what Christ that only spoke what the Father said really meant. As if Christ didn't fully understand the words coming out of his mouth (no not the movie).  He meant every word of it. He told what would happen to "them/those" that believe. The first one was cast out demons, speak with new tongues so forth so on. As if all those demons that can never die are just BLINK gone now. So in this area and others whens the last time before we did any of this we fasted and prayed?

I remember asking Him .. well told Him since He gave me this burden for this elderly man I had a right to know why he was not healed. The short was He said "Satan had built up a hedge that a simple prayer will not work". That was strange how He said it. All I saw was a elderly man that could only moan. Yet God said Satan had built a hedge about that man and a simple prayer would not work.

Yet I still today.. read people asking for prayer and I don't seek and keep praying .. I just say some simple prayer and move on. Where as Satan never sleeps never stops.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
