Are Catholics that faithfully believe in and follow the Great Commandment saved, in your estimation?

The great commandment isnt what saves. Belief in Jesus as He is described in the bible is who saves anyone.

I thought it might help to share this with you.

My direct supervisor is an Italian Catholic and he is a very easy going fella. In fact the best supervisor I have ever had bar none. Also just a very good person with a warm heart. We have had a few discussions about our churches. He has shared some of the things he is less than enthusiastic about in his church and I gather he is tuned to what's going on also being a very intelligent person. You might think seeing me here I would be all over him like white on rice, but the Lord just hasn't led me in that direction and it has nothing to do with my job. In fact , if they let me go tomorrow I would be relieved.

I get the feeling from this guy that maybe he is one of those very few Catholics who really get it. No need for us to bat it back and forth. He is a creature of obedience to his supervisors and a creature of habit, so from my perspective it looks like he is just entrenched and for some odd reason is sticking it out where he is.

The Lord is the only one who can open eyes. I so far have NOT been led to lay into him on any of it. My orders are to proceed cautiously and slowly. "If" the Lord opens a door for me to go through with him I will. Otherwise it's in God's hands.

Invite him to your church?

Thank you.  That is certainly my hope and my goal, along with sharing the good news with others.  :)

Jesus jas given us peace in this matter so we can live our lives without the fear of death.

I will tell you something that you should know. Before Jesus took the Keys of Death and Hades from them, that included the authority to take everyone at their death and keep them

" except Abraham and his descendants from Issac and Jacob and all the household of Jacob"

Because of Adam's disobedience unto death.

Right after Jesus took the Keys of Death and Hades from them right after his death. Jesus began to be  in charge of who goes where....according to their faith in him or according to their denial in him.

Meaning who they will be found at the time of their death...

You may have a question as a result of what I wrote...please make it so we can have a conversation...

I see your point.  However, unlike other faith systems, the RCC does teach that Jesus is the path to salvation.  I disagree with most (if not all) of their peripheral teachings but their main tenets on Christ are correct, are they not?

Let me ask you this.  Is the RCC closer to the mark (so to speak) than, let's say, the Mormon faith?

Mormons are way off in salvational error

I simply asked if people who believe in and follow the Great Commandment are saved.  I believe they are but perhaps I am mistaken.  What else must one believe or do?

Matthew 22:37-40

English Standard Version

37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Does anybody actually keep his commandments without fail?  I don't.  I hopoe that Jesus will nevertheless forgive me (I am contrite) and fix me.

I wish i was not using my phone atm. I would love to post a verse for you. No one is without sin even after getting saved.

In one of the john epistles we are told not to sin but if we sin we have an advocate in Jesus who died for our sins. He covers us.

There are atheists that go out of their way to attack God and mock believers.  I'm not talking about those types of atheists.  I'm talking about atheists that simply don't believe that their creator exists.  It's not that they're against the idea, they just don't think it's true.  I think it's plausible that they will be saved, but again, I have NO IDEA and only Jesus can make that determination.

Bible says.. Romans 1.. No one has an excuse.

Have you been in a RCC at Easter time or any other time follow the ten steps of Jesus, the story of the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross..

Or have you each any Easter enactment of the death of Jesus Christ in Golgotha?

Yea, I don't know much about their beliefs but what I have learned is certainly not found in the Bible.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
